All the entries look very nice (for the most part ;)).
Shush, featurewise, mine isn't the worst looking on there ;)

Which is sad seeing as its hardly a game. But then again pong was very popular....40 years ago. But it only took 4 minutes to write the main code, not counting an angle bug.

lol, mine's the worst. Not entirely sure why I submitted. I don't even know where the source code for that is anymore.

the boxing game and goity's mode 7 attempt look interesting. The table hockey and laser one look very good as well. Beta tested squares so I know thats good.

some good looking stuff. i would love to see some videos of these games in action to help tide me over til i can download them.

as long as grow plays well i'll be really happy. ive been wanting a version of that simple one button game for the gp2x and have seen some similar stuff in some fenix games but not quite the same.

squares seems like a polished definitive version of the game for gp2x. there is one for the minigame project that is fun but this should be a nice full featured version of it.

bare fist fighter looks like a very good looking version of punch out. hope its that fun or even better.

cardmaster could be really cool.

the airhockey game looks fun can't wait to try that out. is there plamsa effects going on as you play or is the background just multi colored?

laser2x looks really nice but games like that frustrate the hell out of me

Hehe, I hope programmers aren't banned from talking about their entries :)

Thx for the kind words, first of all, Laser2x is NOT frustrating *g* The levels start off very easy in the default levelpack so you get to know all the elements.

Someone asked for a gameplay video, here is one demonstrating a late beta: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzkYwLaa4OU

Concerning the game: Laser2x started as an example to show, how well Fungostars Laser->SDL binding works. Over time it developed into a full game which I deemed worthy to enter into the contest. I really tried to push this game as far as possible concerning my limited free time, meaning, that I wanted to deliver something, that would be on par with commercially available (mini)games. So, besides the gameplay, a lot of effort went into the "overall experience" meaning that the game is available in 3 languages (not too much to translate, but still) where new languages can be added by the users. The game is fully skinable with 3 skins already being distributed with it (the original skin and 2 really, really nice ones made by saehn and Eolair - they can be seen in the video). New skins and backgrounds can be added easily and are fully customizable (e.g. color of laser, background). Also we have nice music and soundeffects as well as working volumecontrol ;) The menu was designed by "Eolair" of this very forum and turned out pretty rad imo.
Concerning the levels, Laser2x supports llp Levelpack files meaning there are literally thousands(!) of level to play as there is an already huge collection of llps at http://www.intergenies.com. Some of them are really hard so even the most avid puzzle player should have something to crack his brain for some time.
The final game is going to be released as Beerware meaning, that it is going to cost 1 (one) Euro which goes into the Nartosoft Beer and Wine Fund ;)

I'm really happy with the final outcome, especially, that people from all over the world were able to contribute to it. I hope, you will enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
