My bad, you are right "icons/squidgesnes.png", I don't understand why it doesn't work. The only possible reason is that it's not a valid png image.
No compilation, just plain text files. I don't know the applications for mac. The only hint I can give you is to search for a "unix line endings" option.vossy posted on Aug 10 2006 at 09:07 PM said:i need some simple help
im using a mac but im having no luck making the links.
ive downloaded 2 programmers notepads, J edit and subethaedit but simply writing the link and saving it dosent work.
Do i need to 'compile' it? If so how do i go about that on a mac?
I personally always create them in linux, but I had to create them from windows when I installed it on a friend's gp2x and I used EmEditor (http://www.emeditor.com) or you can use Programmer's Notepad (http://www.pnotepad.org) as others suggested.vossy posted on Aug 10 2006 at 09:07 PM said:ive also got a pc i could try it on if theres any easy programs for windows?

How about my question? How do you set the order that the section icons are displayed?
Thanks for everything.

title=RACE!
description=NeoGeo Pocket Color emulator
icon=icons/neogeopocket.png
exec=/mnt/sd/emulators/race/race.gpe
hmm. Not sure what that means exactly (im not very linux saavy). Is there a way to test, or try another type of line ending?Ryo posted on Aug 10 2006 at 06:15 PM said:Maybe it's line-endings for you too...daclassicgamingmaster posted on Aug 11 2006 at 12:11 AM said:tried using images through the relative AND absolute paths...Still nothing.

I'll look if I can let gmenu2x "eat" them in next release.

@Ryo: If I use programmer's notepad, can I solve the potential issue I'm having? If so, how do I do it and what do I select?

* Arrives with cape flourishing in the breeze *
It's easy to set up, just open/create/edit your file as you like, then go to Tools > line endings > Unix(LF)
Tada!
