Yeah I believe he does, the only annoyance for me is my bank usually freezes the credit card sale to confirm I really placed an international order.does ED's shop take credit cards (visa, etc.)?

You might hace a Visa or Mastercard ?
Paypal is not the alpha and omega of payment.
I am also curious to know this.If the pre-preorderers have to pay an additional 100€ to preorder the 4G units on May 1st, shouldn't other preorderers also have to pay 390€ for it? In the Dragonbox shop the 4G units preorder price is still listed as 290€. Is this just a mistake at the shop or is there a misunderstanding on my side? It would be really annoying for someone who planned to pay "just" 290€ to see the price go up to 390€ on the day of the first payment.
Hey ED.. Could I bring you an idea? Have you considered preordering with Stripe?
They have a template for an excellent online store. https://shop-demo.parseapp.com/
I have used this template before to sell a single project and it works wonders.... Stripe is available in Germany, and their fee's are the lowest I've seen.
Excellent team.. direct sales.
Edit: I will happily assist in setting up this payment portal if you want for preorders?
Your bank has worse exchange rates than PayPal?I may have to go and check things through my bank. Usually paypal actually gets me a better exchange. Though its been a while since I used my bank account direct for any international purchases [the last incident was what actually lead me to use paypal for international things at least]. Hopefully things have changed.
BTW:
It seems PayPal payment will not be possible for the preorders, I just received a reply from them.
It doesn't make sense though, as the reason was not particularly me or the product, but crowdfunding in general. According to PayPal, Crowdfunding is too risky so they can't support it.
The funny thing is that backing with PayPal is possible on Indiegogo...
So the Pyra is more risky if I crowdfund it myself, but less risky if I crowdfund it via Indiegogo...? Aaah... yes, makes perfect sense
Yea i've looked into this a bit. my odds seem sort of against me. Either I end up at another big bank or i take the chances with a no-name trust union.Your bank has worse exchange rates than PayPal?
Have you considered migrating to another bank?
I will gladly pay an extra 100€ at any time (hell, I'll pay the full amount) if it actually guarantees me a 4G unit.If the pre-preorderers have to pay an additional 100€ to preorder the 4G units on May 1st
Yes. My carrier is AWS and I refuse to go with any of the "big names".Do you absolutely need 4G in your new phone?
I don't know where you live. I work at Telecom operators in Europe. The general consensus is that 3G will die before 2G. Of course this is not going to happen overnight but if you want to keep your Pyra 8+ years, this must be in your mind as well. In 2024, the 3G network might be the low-coverage one.Do you absolutely need 4G in your new phone? Coverage here is kind of sketchy, so if I go for a 4G unit it's kind of future proofing for when the network improves, and maybe the latency over 4G will make network gaming more possible than over 3G if I can find somewhere with it. But I've used a 3G dongle with my laptop before on train journeys, and it's perfectly workable for web browsing.
So for me a 3G pyra is almost as valuable as a 4G one right now.

What carrier/country? If you're desperate in needing a workable handset, maybe someone here has an old smartphone sitting in a desk drawer that they would loan out or sell cheap to get you by until the Pyra exists?Yes. My carrier is AWS and I refuse to go with any of the "big names".
