yes I heard this too that they have a software update available soon to fix these issues.

- PS Vita won't turn on
One of the most widespread issues however was that the system would occasionally freeze, either when installing an update or playing specific games. Sony has already addressed this problem and recommends affected users to turn off their systems by holding down the power button for up to 20 seconds, as a normal shutdown is not possible in this case.
But Japanese gamers slowly find themselves asking if they should turn off their systems at all, because now another problem has reared its ugly head: Users have reported that they weren't able to turn on their Vitas anymore. This issue seems to be spreading like wildfire over Japanese support forums and Sony has not yet commented on it. It is of course entirely possible that this is merely due to user error, but the numbers of affected customers seems to be on the rise. We'll have to wait and see if Sony will address this issue as well and how widespread it really is.
Are you a botanist?I do an incredible amount of wheeling and dealing here in Melbourne.
yeah makes me kind of glad i didnt import one now.hopefully these issues will be sorted for the western release.Damn, that sucks!
Although I hate waiting for late releases after Japan, it is good in the fact that it allows companies to sort out bugs and glitches before a mass roll out happens. I'm hoping these problems are addressed, and fixed before Feb 22. Not that it matters, as I still plan to take my chances.
