Dark Chrome and Sata adapter ( Just Cause) Yessss
Survey numbers have risen to 210 now. I guess Europeans are starting to wake up and check their emails. It'll be a few hours before the US pyra-preorders get up though.
Edit: Now 211!

Cannot confirm that. My mail was introduced with my forename. Maybe you are registered with swapped name-fields?One thing confused me a bit, on the Mail, he said "Hallo (Familiename), , is this now a new feature on the Shop Acount System i ditnt activated so i get just named whit my Familiename, rahter then whit "Matthias"??
On the Shool in Germany, when they just call you by your Familiename, its meant to be offensive
this part I do kind of remember being mentioned, but thanks for the refresher. It's not really a USB to SATA adapter at all. Instead, the USB3 pins of one of the USB-A port are connected to the SATA interface of the OMAP5 (the OMAP5 USB3 goes to the OTG port).
The adapter provides a SATA data port connected to these pins, via a chip to buffer them to improve the signal quality. As far as I know, it does not provide SATA power and this must be sourced yourself.
Performance. 3 Gbit/s is a kind of higher number than 480 Mbit/s minus USB protocol overhead.but what can the adapter do/provide over a full sata+power plug to usb(or perhaps, double usb) plug cable?
? usb 3 tops out at 5Gbps (the OTG port) SATA is potentially 6Gbps
But then you can't use the USB 3 port for other devices. The native SATA connection is basically free of charge, you don't lose any other jack when using it, even the USB 2.0 connection within the jack remains usable through the adapter.? usb 3 tops out at 5Gbps (the OTG port) SATA is potentially 6Gbps
But what do i do whit a SATA Thing ?? , Its for Mobile Harddrives, right?? , I cant imagine to use such a thing, as my Mobile Hardrive uses 2 USB 2 Ports via Y Cable, or i use SD Cards or something..
My Primary Use for the Pyra besides Gaming and Videostreaming and Internet whit a real Keyboard would be to use it as a small Office Computer at home, so it want have to open Files, bigger than a pair of hundreds of mb, at least some Dreamcast ISO Files or something..
I dont want to edit Videos, or Music , etc, besides that the TV Adverts from Apple suggest to do this only whit a Mac..
I would like to support the Project by Buying stuff, but i dont see me using an SATA yet..
For me, its for fast backups. It is to be my main laptop. So I get home, and backup whatever I was working on, any pics/videos taken (with a usb camera of course), etc. It "may" also be useful as a media transfer device, but that usecase remains to be seen. But what do i do whit a SATA Thing ?? , Its for Mobile Harddrives, right?? , I cant imagine to use such a thing, as my Mobile Hardrive uses 2 USB 2 Ports via Y Cable, or i use SD Cards or something..
