That Pyra wallpaper looks fantastic.
"Was a pleasure" isn't entirely true for all timeperiodes of the build. But summarized it was a pleasure to contribute something, which I rarely can on the other topics (like writing code or such)thanks for building this huge awesome pyra-pixelwall!

Mission accomplished! Thanks. It looks absolutely stunning
And it's one of the first things you see when entering the hall
Custer's Revengedrop the video somewhere, so I know what was running there
... yesterday I was trying the Pyra, and I have to say that the sensation was very bad: Right now, the case fall appart, the screen doesn't fit well, the tactil panel is not working and I have a lot of issues trying to use the mouse. I also try to launch 3 installed emulators and none of them worked the 3 emulators freeze after it launch. The button sensation also wasn't good. It need still a lot of work.
Well the final case isn't finished, I don't think all the prototypes have the final keymat. The Touchscreen settings need to be modified as it's 270 degrees off because of the screen rotation done by TILER. And it's true the software needs a lot more work.Hey @EvilDragon, I have read this on some boards, I try to do my best translating it into english:
True, but it's disappointing to hear there might be troubles using the nubs to control the mouse, which I'd thought was already fixed fully. And I'd assumed they keymats were the final ones which should feel pretty good. It might just be someone trolling the project, but I'd still like to hear from someone here who's tried those things (other than ED ideally) who can confirm or deny.
The GPD Win does seem to be getting much more footfall at the show, but that's perhaps not surprising as it should run standard x86 precompiled games, while the Pyra needs things ported to it before they will work for now.
I had the pyra in my hands at the GamesCom (shortly I addmit, because had to catch my train).Hey @EvilDragon, I have read this on some boards, I try to do my best translating it into english:
Why would you not criticise something that can be improved? Just look at Star Wars Episode I-III to see what happens if all you got is a bunch of yes sayers around you.Strange mentality...
I just got a GPD Win, because of x86 and project 1999, sorry there, the pyra is also not in my price point, but I would never criticise it. it seems great and the work done on it was just superb. I still love my pandora even trough I'm using it less these times...

Nice, this will be ace for C64 emulationHere something Pyra-centric again.
A screen ghosting comparison between the Pandora and the Pyra. Using ED's blue pandora, and running the exact same game (Phoenix on Atari 2600 emu), You can clearly see the Players bullet on the Pyra screen, where it's almost invisible on the Pandora (that game trigger the worst case LCD Refresh scenario: little white pixel on black background moving quickly).
If he didn't use the transparent one he didn't have a good experience, the case isn't fitting good on the grey one. That made the nubs more stiff, also the touchscreen isn't optimal yet. If it was the final product I wouldn't be happy, but ED is working on it and you would know if you try the transparent case prototype as the nubs/triggers work much better already.Hey @EvilDragon, I have read this on some boards, I try to do my best translating it into english:
