Beta Appstore Testing (Again)

A good idea might be to use the same category system as PNDs use: http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html
That makes a lot of sense seeing as those are the categories to select from when making a PND in the first place..

What do you say Craig?

Also, it would be great if I knew how big a download was. Currently my connection is measured in bytes per second, and I'd like to know if a PND is going to take two minutes or two hours to download.

[edit] Ok, so I check the file size of this .pnd on the File Archive. It's 4.4MB. I let the download from Pandora Apps get to 4MB, then left it running while I grabbed the same .pnd from the File Archive.

The one from the File Archive is now done, the one from Pandora Apps is still crawling along. Odd.

(Chromium, WinXP, admittedly problematic mobile broadband connection).

why dontya link to the appstore from the openpandora.org site? just a crazy idea i'm throwin' out there

How about adding a shortened link (or whatever) to the appropriate PandoraApps page from the RSS/twitter feed entries? Currently you see an RSS alert and then have to manually go and find it on the Pandora apps site as the page linked to from the feed has no hyperlink on it.

RSS feed does not appear to be working? There have been several updates/releases since HF4?

I am using http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/116761799.rss is this correct?

Also New Uploads and Top Rated links are giving a 404 at http://apps.open-pandora.org/

New bug. Version text field wouldn´t let me enter 3.6.10.
