The Rise of Pyra - A story about the past 6 months

My idea was to publish a list of outstanding order ids hashed and chronological so people could determine where they were in the queue. This idea was shot down because it was prone to rainbow attacks (although it's unclear what someone could do with an order number without owning the email address & dragonbox login). So I now I propose hashing <order-id>:<email> and publishing those. Not susceptible to rainbow attacks, email is a sort of salt. It's a kind gesture to all the patient pyra fanatics... @ClockworkCoder - can you do it?

Still no sign of EvilDragon. No updates. No news. No transparent queue. No way to detect progress without devine intervention from ED or Askrus.
Latest activity thread on ED is empty. He's not been present at the forums for some time now.

Would be nice to hear from ED.
What I would like to know: Is there still some progress? Or has the project undergone a slow death? Is the time for pulling the plug coming near? Or are we waiting for something (e.g. another batch of nubs or ribbon cables)?
How may people still need to receive their Pyra? Can we help ED in some way? Do we need to raise funds? Do we need to hunt down expertise? Or do we need to track down people that have not replied to their e-mails?
What happened to the employee that ripped of ED? How was GamesCon? Will there be a Pyra successor? Will there be a CPU-upgrade? What happened to the plans for a console-like version of the Pyra? What is the ETA on the last pre-orderer receiving a Pyra? Have all plans for a kickstarter been tossed? Did the investors receive a return on their investment yet? Is the mold for the casing nearing perfection? Are the stock PCB's starting to oxidize yet? Will the assembly process be simplified by ED as suggested by Askrus?
Does ED still enjoy playing video games? When is hockey season over? Is ED going to WHY2025?

So many questions...

On a serious note, I miss too the updates on the forum, but just go on Discord and you will see ED doing stuff and interacting with other developers ... it's somehow like when everyone describe to you an Elephant, and you have never seen one, then one day you go to the Zoo and the magic happens !!

The year+ old update gives the impression the project is completely dead which is not the case. It discourages prospective buyers. So spending a few minutes every few months on an update makes sense imo.

On the other hand, if any updates are on Discord, maybe it makes no sense to keep this forum open ? I don't use Discord, I prefer this forum, for some reason I forgot... but if it's just social chat without any project updates for months, then if keeping it up is any cost, then well, I don't know why ...
It's not like I'm asking to close it. And there's the occasional thread with progress information, or troubleshooting, or something, it's not 100% irrelevant. But it's somewhat strange... Sometimes it seems like we talk more of other devices (from handhelds to knives or cars or whatever) and about jokes, than of the Pyra, the Pandora or emulators, doesn't it? I contribute to the noise too, but if you remove the noise then there's almost only radio silence...

Well the Forum is also for other stuff, like Flexing whit the Stuff you bough recently, or for the Carring Corner (please keep posting there, there are some NSFW pictures from an User who did spam his Moles a few years ago) , and i dont mean these Cute Animals that are Underground Workers ..

Also the big issue of Discord is that you have to be quite behind every post: When someone posts something important, a few hours ago its got moved away by others who post something quite unimportant (i have this bad habit par exemple) ..

So booth are important, Discord an Forum ..

I don't think there have been, and as @matzesu said, Discord is more for live chat (and not everyone uses it). Also there's a lot more noise to signal ratio in Discord than here, so it's harder to find anything that might be important amongst it all.

This should be the place for official updates.

It's also quiet here as units are coming out in barely a trickle, and many of those who do have a Pyra have had them for years now...

if ED has time to post on discord he has time to post here. These are the forums that kept the pandora alive and try to keep the pyra alive. moving to discord is killing this forum , the " official" home of the pyra...
I am losing interest in coming here and i certainly will not join discord.
