The Rise of Pyra - A story about the past 6 months

Is it worth doing a survey amongst existing preorderers to get an idea of what they want / are expecting? It's hard to judge on a community that's become less active really how much support there is left in the current backlog, and it sounds inefficient to be sending out small batches of order confirmation requests and waiting however long for any responses...

For the record, I still very much want my Pyra.
If somehow magically all Pyra's would be shipped this week, there still would be work to be done to get the software stable and the community active.

No?
They're effectively doing that survey for the preorderers they can serve. If you survey others, they might change their mind by the time their Pyras are ready, so why bother?
People may want something now and something else later. If you don't have a date to tell them they can get X at time Y, there's no point asking.
The current production lots are small enough to assume no Pyras are going to be left unsold with the current practice, so no work is lost.
If one of the lots comes out unsold, even after asking all possible preorderers, then, well, don't build more and wait until someone comes buy the few you've built. It's not a big stock to worry about.
