Thanks ptitSeb! Will be interesting to see if it will improve speed and is more stable on my CC. Will report back after a couple of days of use.
What? Strange...Gigolo lets me connect and mount a folder but xbmc/kodi cannot access it as it appears empty.
I cannot look as I have not understood what was not working.I am now mounting my sshfs through an fstab entry. this makes the folder accessible to kodi and works very well. It is an annoyance though, that you cannot use the kodi gui to mount any network shares. please have a look into this if you can spare the time. there isn't much to read from the log, maybe it's a permission problem? I am on an ext4 partition btw.
Ah... I have seen that before.
oh yeah thanks! for some reason i thought driver install would reset on reboot, doh!Ah... I have seen that before.
are you using a CC model and the latest 4.04 SGX driver? If yes, go back to default driver and it will work.
Ah ok. I'll see if I can reproduce thoses issues.sorry ptitSeb. I'll try to explain: In Kodi I cannot add any network shares except for upnp. choosing nfs doesn't do anything. smb gives an error message that the service is not available and trying to add an sshfs share crashes kodi completely.
like I said. I can mount sshfs beforehand and then just navigate there in kodi. I just think it's really strange behaviour and it might be a deal breaker for unexperienced users.
Thanks for the reportI have been playing around with it for a few days - mostly streaming video - and it works quite well. No noticeable speed improvement for the gui, but I didn't encounter a crash/hang even after pausing a stream and continuing hours later. XBMC had that issue. Most plugins are working fine, the few that didn't work on XBMC are also not working on Kodi (probably a bad plugin). For streaming you need to choose SD because HD will stutter.
Pandora tested : CC and active swap.
Mmmm, maybe I'm missing some dependancies on the compile side. I have to check what is needed for DVD playback and ISO file playback. This release has been fantastic, however one thing I noticed I can't do verses the Raspberry Pi version is run DVD iso files.. is that a Plugin that is installed by default, I've done a bit of searching and couldn't find it?
