i'll try to get hold of mfk and his pandora to capture some aga videos :)
You can also send it to me, so I can show some HDTV pictures of Amiga-Emulation.
Oh, and if it supports USB-Joysticks already... I got a competition pro :D

Using the USB competition pro to play amiga games is just retro heaven. They should be compulsory with every amiga emulator.

The comp pro USB has a small delay. Annoying enough to throw it at the nearest wall smashing it to pieces.
I've heard this said before - is it really that bad? :blink: I wonder if using an original with a USB adapter would be preferable?

I know. The funny thing is, that it seems to be much worse in Windows than Linux... Seems to work fine on my Linux box.

Well that was a good excuse to boot up winuae.

The games I play, things like choas engine and alien breed, are probably a little more forgiving on timing than some of the r-type shooters. I suppose there probably is a delay but it didn't seem that bad to me.

its as annoying as hell and mucus. what peevs me though is that they have used such a lousy usb chip - apparently it is replaceable with a cheap alternative - some uber dude over at EAB is looking at doing the hack - will post when I know more

AGA and OCS can we have some new vids pretty please
Wouldn't say no to a new vid showing off AGA. Whomever has a Pandora dev board or Beagleboard, see here for the files you need:

If you want to watch the AGA Amiga vids that have already been made, look here:

things are going slow because;
.loop:
i don't have a pandora so i compile on my computer blindly then send it to mfk over skype,
then he copies it to his sd, tries it and says if it's ok or not.
jmp loop

e.g.:
just to make (usb keyboard and) usb joysticks work fine, we've spent about 2-3 hours today :rolleyes:

ok, long story short, mfk said he played gloom :D
i hope he can make some videos soon but keep in mind that it will be much faster when i use the pandora gfx drivers and optimize the code :}

Hey great news, firstly about the effort you made to make USB joysticks work and just continuing working even without a board yet! Can't wait to see some vids, glad Gloom is up and running, hope you can get AGA running full speed when its all optimised. Good works chaps!

No problem. The AGA vids are bit rough round the edges but considering their unoptimised nature definitely show great promise.

@GnoStiC
Thank you for all of your work so far, especially in difficult testing circumstances. Are you a first batcher?

@jaycee900
Did you see the early WIP vids I just pointed to showing AGA support?

Yeah i saw the AGA demo vid from last year, thought to me it was a poor choice of AGA demo and didn't prove it was AGA i've seen better ECS demos! Anyway get a vid of Banshee or Gloom etc and I'll be happy, cheers!

been playing on my real amiga today and getting all excited about miggy emu. is there a definite date for the panny delivery yet?

well, uh, ok, it may be main reason to get Pandora for me, BUT few questions:
- how's AGA and at least EC020 emulation is going to work?
- what about HDF files(linked to above..lets say)?
- do you have plan to make Pandoras controls as close to amy as possible(kbd, mouse, mouse left/right simultaneous CLICKS(only method for skipping some intros, and for general use))?

i mean - will it be rather kind of fellow(<=a500 emu), or winuae like oriented emu(a500<...) speaking thru analogies?
I'd just like to emulate 020 with kick 3.1, wb 3.1, picasso96 emulation + 2 gb of whdloaded games on hdf.
i see it this way:

Is it potentially possible? will be some day?
You know, i want to believe, that there's something more, than "it just works, guys" statement..

It is not hard to imagine playable Amy games(without sound, tho) on quite old xscale pocketpc oc'ed to 624 mhz(fluid ruff 'n tumble just rocks), point is, ppc cannot make nothing more..
Pandora with good emu could do.

Just picture, that Pandora may be first decent portable Amiga machine through this, not just gamelauncher..

btw, could you make some demos yt vids as some kind of..promo, maybe?
technological death is VERY good emulator tester(sound, speed, sync).

Good luck with project :)
