Then everything is clear, 1500 € is a bit too much at the moment for mee, so I carry my Pandora until Regular Massproduktion..
but as I'm 28 in the preorder que , I can help lot in development by testing and feedback before everything got there Unit..
 
something that would play Tetris would give the Prototype lot more apeal to carry around..
There is a whole bunch of Tetris-like games in the Debian repository. [1]
I guess most of them should even work without GPU acceleration. I could test some on my Cubieboard2 running Debian with fbdev, which should be outperformed by a Pyra prototype even in its current state.
So if the lack of Tetris is all that keeps you from buying a prototype, then go ahead, get one! ;)

It isn't the lack of Tetris, it's also the price of the Prototype,
It wouldn't be fair if my Prototype would cost less than the regular Prototype Preeorders

And whit Tetris I meant a GB Emu
 
How could the Ram be the problem?
The DDR3 RAM interface runs at the same speed independently of CPU clock. This is why caching is so important...

Already checked and ruled out. They are wide and we loose approx. 5mV. And there are sense wires going back from the CPU to the regulator.
It's not 1.2GHz, even 1.1GHz is known to hang, and we don't even know if 1.0GHz really works on every board for extended time. This needs to be called something different as it misleads all the early adopters...
Hm. This statement is also misleading. The CPU Boards produced recently run stable for hours with 1.25GHz - provided the operation points are fine tuned. That is something we hadn't done before.
The problem is that it needs to be fine tuned at all. The OMAP5 EVM runs stable at 1.5GHz with any operation point between 1.1V and 1.25V. So it has a higher margin for voltage tolerances at high CPU frequencies leaving even room for overclocking.

But the Software Spezial Portet to Pyra Runs way better because it's not made for a normal Debian Computer but for the Pyra which is a bit slower..
Its depends on the price of the Prototype, but I can also wait

Also Pandora was lot longer waiting time so ditnt mind another 2 Months

Pretty much. In principle you can use any software that is available in Debian/armhf.
There will be some soft limitations due to the Pyra not being powerful enough to run some software in a reasonable way. (For example, I'm pretty sure that although it would technically run, you couldn't actually play 0 A.D. on the Pyra, even with glshim.) And there will be hard limitations of software that won't run at all. (Recent versions of Supertuxkart require an OpenGL version that is not implemented in glshim.)

I'm not sure if "way better" really describes it. In most cases the difference would be rather academic.
Debian's armhf port is a compromise, to accommodate different hf-capable arm platforms. As such it does not make full use of all the features the OMAP5432 provides. But in most cases these special features wouldn't be used anyway.
So special Pyra-builds of Debian packages might make sense in some cases, but you'll often just take what Debian provides.
 
Speaking of misleading terms like the 1.2GHz problem. Isn't the term CPU-board misleading? It had the entire SoC on it if I'm correct. Should really be called the SoC-board.
 
We should probably invent cool curious names for those problems so if people outside stumble into it they might came over to check what it is about.

As this SoC is PowerVR related, and probably the only one which will be, I'd like to call it the Powerboard. :D

Just to be awkard, it's valid to call the board with the SoC on the main board, and the larger board that plugs into the peripheral board, because all it really has on it is peripherals for the CPU on the main board. I did go with calling the larger board the peripheral board for a while, but never called the smaller one the main board because others were already calling the larger board the main board, but nobody took the hint, so I fell in with calling them the CPU board and the main board with gritted teeth.
