Its people like that, that ruin things for the rest of us.kotd posted on Apr 19 2004 at 12:35 AM said:I use IE I'm happy so why change? People can hack into my computer all they want theres nothing much there to take. A few pc games etc. I've never had a problem with IE.
Thats like going to a store and paying $10 for something, that the store next door sells for $2. "Oh I dont care" you say, "I have the money to waste", so you dont support the store that gives you a great deal, you support the store thats ripping you off. Making it harder for the good store to stay in bussiness, and eventually, since so many people "Just dont care", the good store, with great prices, goes out of bussiness, forcing everyone to pay the extremely high prices.
If everyone goes to the $2 store, the $10 store will eventually figureout that they need to lower their prices a bit, to some reasonable degree if they plan to keep their customers.
This is how the entire world works. If one group/company/individual does something better than the rest, everyone else steps up to try and out do them, its a never ending cycle, the reason we get such great new games, and the all of the next gen consoles, and these new handhelds that are coming out, etc...
By using a different browser, you are forcing microsoft to look at and address these issues, in the end creating a better browser. Maybe someday IE wont be one big large security hole, that require tons of 3rd party software to make up for all of the missing security features and functions, and have all the nice features that nearly every other browser does, but it wont happen if you just dont care.
