Being the fountain of eternal optimism that I am, I cannot help but worry that the new company will just be more of the same...
I was expecting it, as they've had problems delivering/making the cases for months now.That was totally unexpected.
I was so sure we'll gt the cases.
Wasn't a French company supposed to concoct a plastic specific to the Pyra's molds with just the right viscosity, etc.? Will this new company's materials work fine with the molds?

Ok, that does make a difference. Good to hear. Actions speak louder than words.Well, they already produced over 6000 cases for me.
Sure, plastic was a different one and shrinking marks not that important, but I know they produce.
Found a solution to solve the RAM problem.
Just solder this on the bottom of the pyra and everyone is happy:
Must be an old picture. Those must be 4GB sticks - thus 32 sticks. Modern server RAM is commonly in 16GB or even 32GB per stick meaning that 128GB can now look like just the first 4 pieces of that.Found a solution to solve the RAM problem.

Well of course, this forum thrives off 2010 memesMust be an old picture. Those must be 4GB sticks - thus 32 sticks. Modern server RAM is commonly in 16GB or even 32GB per stick meaning that 128GB can now look like just the first 4 pieces of that.
Screw that, give them a block of wood and a carving tool and they can carve their own cases out of woodHow about shipping the board with some clay and let everybody mold their own case? *ducks for cover*
Some day when the case CAD files are published, someone needs to CNC machine a case out of wood. I would like mine made from a solid block of cherry wood please. Yeah, it would be more fragile than plastic, but cool factor 11 and all.Screw that, give them a block of wood and a carving tool and they can carve their own cases out of wood
This is what a desktop workstation motherboard that will handle up to 3TB of RAM looks like:
Nah, a 250g spool of polycarbonate and a rough sketch of a 3D printer on a napkin should suffice. Oh and a bag of left hand threaded triwing screws.Screw that, give them a block of wood and a carving tool and they can carve their own cases out of wood
@EvilDragon, fuck it,
