I was feeling low on Thursday, so I canceled that excision of that one mole. I mean, it’s not cancer. I think I can live with it.

My heart rate was in the eighties just now. Usually it's over 100. You'd think I'd be happy to be rid of my tachycardia, but I'm more concerned about what could have caused the change. I mean, I've been cutting down caffeine for weeks now, but my pulse only just changed. I'm still far overweight. Meh, maybe I shouldn't read too much into it.

In Spain they still have bazaars! I have been to one yesterday and bought a BlackBerry! It still has addresses on it to sell (just kidding, I am not going to sell them)!

I've been having on and off stomach pain today. It was bad this morning, then disappeared after I started exercising on the treadmill, then came back a bit after I ate breakfast, and now it's gone again. I hope I don't have a stomach virus, because I'm going to be in the car with my dad for three hours tomorrow, and I don't want him to catch anything.

But what if bees start chasing you? Will you be able to run without ripping your pants? (when I run with loaded cargopants, I have to hold my legs so they don't swirl around)

It seems that the world's not so bad after all.

Nonsense. It is.
  • If you have too much money it's a very easy problem to solve. Give money away to a worthy cause or even at random. If you have too little it's not easy.
  • Never believe what a therapist tells you about how people are. All the rich people that live happy forever will not visit that therapist. The fact that he doesn't know them doesn't mean that they don't exist or that they are fewer than his clients. For a policeman everyone is a criminal, for a doctor everyone is ill and for a therapist everyone is unhappy. It goes with the job, no big deal that they say that, but no reason to believe them either. You can at most believe that maybe rich people who have some problem have the problems the therapist say, which does not mean at all that all rich people have problems.
Sorry if I spoiled your optimism, not that I meant to bring you down.

Probably, for billionaires, money is their life. If they give it away then there likely will be nothing left of them but empty husks of men. In fact, if their trust issues are justified then even their family might leave them. Giving away everything that you are is not easy at all.

Come on, lambda you're deeper than that.
Why do you think they're afraid of being left alone if they become poor ? Because once you're poor you have a bigger problem than when you're rich, and everyone knows that.

For billionaries money is their life ? Poor fools. For minimum wage or lower incomes, lack of money is their death. Who can more easily "get a life"?

Rich people can have problems, they are not invulnerable or magically wise or something, but none of their problems is being rich. The problem is being poor. And then there're other problems.
If rich people are afraid of giving away their money they have the option of giving it away or not.
If poor people are afraid of starving, or ending up in the street, they don't have any option. They feel already like empty husks of men, not potentially so. And they have the whole society pressing them to feel so.
So rich men are conditioned to believe they're only worth because of money, but the same shared cynicism conditions the poor to believe they're not worth anything at all, not even for their money.
Rich people fear that their family might leave them if they give away (or lose) their money. Poor people lose their families every day because the family is conditioned to expect richer relatives and leaves, or because they can't feed them and the familiy loses health or life, or because they end up in jail, or having to take ajob away from family or for a million things they can't control and a few they could.

Not having anything to even consider giving all, something or nothing away is not easy at all.

The problem you describe is basically some kind of low or misguided self-esteem (that's either low self-steem or high self-steam, or both?) because of a crazy value scale and appreciation of money. This is a cultural, societal, even religious problem that is not exclusive of the rich. In fact poor people suffer more of it.

Now are there worse problems than abundance or lack of money? Sure. Many. That still doesn't makes being rich a problem. Being stupid is.

Of course being poor is worse, but my response had nothing to do with poor people. I just said a few things about rich people.

Being rich means that you have no financial problems. But you can still get cancer, be insane, have a shitty marriage, lose loved ones, etc. Rich people have plenty of problems. They have the same problems that poor people have minus poverty.

My sister and my nephew were having stomach problems throughout my Thanksgiving trip. This thread just reminded me that I was having stomach problems before I left, though I didn't have any there. I wonder if I passed it to them.
