Ah, I guess you missed ED's post last week. He's been having a rough time lately, but promised to try to do more as soon as he can.

It was more like "no updates this month" with promise to make some prototypes in weekend. Which means new update is due.

ED didn't promise anything! He said, he'd try.

Did he try ? I am not criticising ED, I am just eager to know the status, as I am hoping that he has made some prototypes last weekend.

Dude most of us have been waiting for 5+ years at this point.

I have to say I have been getting more and more pessimistic about it though.

@docbroke I don't know more than you do.I know, someone who doesn't get news out as regularly as we'd like, because he's too busy, works way more than I ever would. If someone like that says, something brought his spirit down, I take that serious and leave him be.

@Swordfish II I only learned about the project somewhere between pre-preorders and preorders - I'd say 2016. ? When preorders started I jumped on the train, and I thought I get one the same year. Well, obviously it dragged out a bit, but there were problems discovered and then solved. Now - for all we know - things just need to be brought together. What's left to be pessimistic about. I don't see, why it would fail. Unless of course, we learn, that the OMAP 5 is hardcoded to stop working come sommer 2020 or something like that. which I wouldn't suspect.

That's not how the meme goes. Here is a proper example:

Any chance of updating your avatar back to non-snowing?
I feel like this interview is applicable to Pyra, here and there replace China with Greece and you've got an up-to-date one...

I'm getting more and more pessimistic because there is little left to do and yet there is the same amount of progress.

For instance: the cases were 1+ year delay, now that the cases are at the new company no updates. It is simple to tell us when they plan on doing the case run. But that hasn't happened. Literally zero information since the molds were transferred.

Prototypes: the final prototypes were waiting on the clear cases. The clear cases have been in hand for 2 months and none have been built or sent out.

These are unnecessary, substantial, delays after 5+ years of process.

I am understanding of actual issues, but i am less understanding of delay or lack of info in an already terribly long process, for no reason.

In Germany, 71 degrees would be pretty hot.., (water is boiling at 100 degrees)..
Hopefully, the next US Präsident brings European Measorings to America: Celsius cm, m, km, km/h

Whe had a pretty bad storm yesterday, but about 11 degrees (Celsius)

km and km/h never even made it over the channel in any major sense. I suggest you have to do that before you've a hope of converting the USofA.

Or go down the UK route of having a mismatch of old and new... most people would refer to their own weight in stones/pounds, but would refer to the weight of a bag of sugar in grams/kilos... for long distances we typically use miles (and have miles per hour speed limit) but most people (at least most younger people) would use cenimetres and metres for shorter distance (room dimensions)... temperature is mostly C but some older people will still use F...we pay for our fuel by the litre and then put it into our cars which have effeciency rated in miles per gallon...

You don't have to worry about confusing people from other countries, you can confuse people within the same country with conflicting units...

the USA offically became a metric country in the 1970's however the president didnt make it mandatory but by choice. scientific stuff is usually done by SI units but mainstream US didnt bother because they didnt need to....

Australia went metric in 1973 but we still have a few idiosyncrasies car tyres! most still use PSI for tyre pressure instead of KPa ( Kilo Pascals) and tyre sizes... width is in mm and diameter is still in inches. my car tyres are 205/50-16 205mm wide with a 16 inch diameter...lol
