ED didn't promise anything! He said, he'd try.
Did he try ? I am not criticising ED, I am just eager to know the status, as I am hoping that he has made some prototypes last weekend.
Unless of course, we learn, that the OMAP 5 is hardcoded to stop working come sommer 2020 or something
That's not how the meme goes. Here is a proper example:I don't have an awesome sword but show me your pyra!!!!!
Any chance of updating your avatar back to non-snowing?Has the Pyra project been canceled?
I feel like this interview is applicable to Pyra, here and there replace China with Greece and you've got an up-to-date one...because he's too busy
Now - for all we know - things just need to be brought together. What's left to be pessimistic about. I don't see, why it would fail. Unless of course, we learn, that the OMAP 5 is hardcoded to stop working come sommer 2020 or something like that. which I wouldn't suspect.
Yes, here is a quick status update!
The lack of updates this time can be blamed on me:
I had a few rough weeks (a colleague with whom I worked for 20 years died of a heart attack - and we were in the middle of a project), Retrode2 arrived which caused tons of orders and I catched a cold which slowed me down a bit as well :/
So I didn't find a lot of time to work on building the prototypes. At least I finished replacing one resistor on all mainboards (which limited the charging to 1.4A) and worked a bit on the software side, but I couldn't find the time to do much, sadly.
This time, no company is to blame, it was simply me, myself and I.
I'll try to catch up ASAP and work build those prototypes this weeked (or at least as many as I can!)
I'll also try to catch up with the results from Uniqueplast.
I'm so sorry for the delay, but I couldn't push myself to it (and you think twice about pushing yourself if a colleague just died because of overworking, basically...)
It snowed here today, fwiw.Any chance of updating your avatar back to non-snowing?
It snowed here today, fwiw.
Congress passed the Metric Conversion Act of 1975 "to coordinate and plan the increasing use of the metric system in the United States". Voluntary conversion was initiated, and the United States Metric Board (USMB) was established for planning, coordination, and public education. The public education component led to public awareness of the metric system, but the public response included resistance, apathy, and sometimes ridicule.[16] In 1981 the USMB reported to Congress that it lacked the clear Congressional mandate necessary to bring about national conversion. Because of this ineffectiveness and an effort of the Reagan administration—particularly from Lyn Nofziger's efforts[17] as a White House advisor to the Reagan administration, to reduce federal spending—the USMB was disbanded in the autumn of 1982.
You don't have to worry about confusing people from other countries, you can confuse people within the same country with conflicting units...
I'm not sure it can be quite as complicated as it is with bicycle tyres. See the table here, noting that 27 inch wheels are apparently bigger than 29 inch wheels, and that 700B/C/D are all different sizes.tyre sizes... width is in mm and diameter is still in inches. my car tyres are 205/50-16 205mm wide with a 16 inch diameter...lol
Nothing conflicting about it. Just still as cumbersome as not having the metric system. You don't have to worry about confusing people from other countries, you can confuse people within the same country with conflicting units...
