Tz , my Swiss Army Knive is the Evogrip S557, developed from Wenger, but made from Victorinox,
Locking Blade and some other features no usual Vic will ever have ^^

It’s alowed as long it’s not one hand open,
Even One Hand Open Blades are allowed if you have a comon reason:
If you need it for work, you are allowed to carry it to or from work

It’s also not illegal to use or to own, it’s could bring you some trouble to carry a One Hand Open Lockable Knive or a Fixed over 12 cm..
I ditnt had any trouble yet whit my Leathermans as I look pretty unguilty (I am a pretty nice person) , but I only dit carry it on less city places, maybe in Berlin, Munich, Cologne, or something, the Police, or others aren’t that cool as they in more rural Places

Do they have a keyboard between the knives and scissors? ;) (attempt at sudden kb thread)
but I think it's a need
We can revive the pre-order thread and EXTRA-polate preorder information, like with math and such?
If you want to worry, the Deutsche Bank drops below €6.00 for the first time ever. If it falls, Europe falls. Prices go up.

to not derail this thread too much, come and join us here, knife-o-holics. ;)

Thought that wasn't allowed here in Germany. ?
If you've been to Bremen before, you might have noticed those yellow signs near the main train station telling you that it is forbidden to carry guns (and other weapons, like these knifes) 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. - similar signs without time restrictions can be found in St. Pauli, Hamburg.

In the UK, you're allowed to carry a folding knife of less than 3 inches long (I assume from tang to tip, not hinge to tip), and current case law suggests that the term 'folding' excludes locking knives, but that definition isn't in statute and could be overturned. Any other knife you need a justifiable reason to be carrying, and 'just in case I need it' doesn't count, but they do allow them as part of ceremonial dress most of the time.

Edit: Sorry I wasn't paying sufficient attention and must have assumed this was the offtopic knife thread. Oh well.

But this Thread is about the new cool stuff that happens yet to the Pyra: like they setting up the Massenproduktion ^^
My other Thread is for Knife Talk..

The only real news I haven't posted yet is that I've had a meeting with Global Components as we're now actively preparing the mass production.

Anything significant will be posted here. It might take a few days (until I find the time), but it will be posted.
Do you really want to be spammed with insignificant news?

Wow, I was wondering the past few days if the final molds had arrived and were being shipped, so was also anxious to hear some updates, but "actively preparing the mass production" is far from insignificant news, and much more exciting to hear!

As usual don't fret about keeping us posted, but don't forget that any tidbit is food for the news-hungry horde ;) Any time you spend to post here is much, much appreciated.

Still looking forward to videos / photos of the final prototypes sent to devs... ideally from anyone that receives them and are kind enough to share :D

Good work on the updated site, by the way :)

My other Thread is for Knife Talk..
Link? I would talk knives with you. Most of mine are antiques though.
(Found it. Offtopic area on these boards folks.)

On your above suggestion, I ordered one like your Swiss Army one. Victronox of course, the Wegner ones aren't orderable anymore.

Almost one month without news, less preorders and no new preorders, new hardware way more powerful than Pyra beign launched.... I know all the shenanigans about this project (amateur, lack of time, bla, bla, bla...) but you stated one month ago that "the prototypes are now ready to be shipped to devs tomorrow" and we don't know even the devs has already received the prototypes and if they are working on the software side of the Pyra.

And what information would that be?
A couple of bits of information that I'd like to receive :

1) Do you still plan to produce the 2GB units bearing in mind that approx 98% of orders are for 4GB units?

2) Is this idea possible / plausible (for future production runs) in terms of design costs / difficulty of changing the molds?

I have concerns that a large number of those that ordered the 4GB did so because they assumed that it was the same price as the 2GB (and why get 2 when you can get 4 for the same price) and will be incredibly surprised when EvilDragon sends them a letter telling them it's time to pay the remainder.

I don't remember that, but i think i remember the difference being quite small, but my memory isn't exactly great, so i could be wrong.
