Release Fullspeed Amiga Emulation On Pandora!

That has nailed it for me, just made up my mind about preordering.

WizardStan, +1 for that, m8. i am just asking about current state of Pandora programming(not just Amy emulation, rather wider aspect), i have strange feeling, pandora project is having hard times...

necro'd a post

well, what made it necro, then(as half ot all pandoras forum, btw..)?

what just happened?
I don't understand your post, man. Just wanted to get some info.
Pandora seems to be ng, ultimate emu MOBILE device(and lot more, of course).
I discovered whole project few days ago, and I am amazed, that there are few people that are trying to make such fabulous device.

Thus, it seems, that strong software support is needed to promote it, right?

Now, i am first man writing here since, lets say, february, and i am shocked after realizing that.
goddamn, are people doesn't care anymore about that device, its potential, just bought iphones and are happy?
I am dying to have portable Amiga 1200(and xl, c64, zx, neogeo, snes, gb, gba, atarist, 286, scummvm, sega, respectively) - Pandora seems to be potential candidate to make it better, than xscale pocketpc.

What made you to type: "what just happened?" post lol.
Well, try to realize, there are people searching good piece of hardware out there..
i cannot afford it right now, it is hella lot of money for me, but - if it's worthy... just need to see if it is.

What on earth are you talking about? People are posting in the Pandora forums all the time. Not in this particular thread, granted, but there's plenty of conversation in the forums.

Because all that was added to the thread was a list of questions, and the response to a list of questions was 'right, I've made my mind up'. It's a little odd, that's all!

uh, maybe you are right(i hope you are), i had strange feeling reading whole forum for a moment..

you want to give up on Pandora and the visits back to these boards have grown from a daily visit back in the GP32 days to once a month or so. but every time you do check and think stuff it... something like this gets the excitement back up.

ED: I'm sure you're aware of WinUAE (who isn't?) but have you poked around in the source code at all? I know Toni has WinUAE using OpenAL and OpenGL which should be useful and I'm wondering if it would actually be possible to port it (excluding useless parts such as Direct3D support) as WinUAE has a crazy amount of features in comparison to the other Amiga Emulators that are generally used as a base for porting (UAE, E-UAE, etc). The source is available on the DOWNLOAD page - http://www.winuae.net

It has many features which would would be a nice addition and its support of games is next to none (actually at this stage I'm not sure anything is left that doesn't work).

Just a thought anyway.

GnoStiC do you have a Pandora yet mate?

GnoStiC: When you get a chance can you please have a look at integrating some of the key features of e-UAE? Mainly save state support, hard-disk support (very important) and the fact it can use any kickstart and select different processors/graphic modes - http://www.rcdrummond.net/uae/ (assuming you've not managed to do any of that already).

I loved going through demo disks on my Amiga, great fun!

I've tried searching for one called Biplanes, i don't think a full game was ever release but i still have the amiga format issue 33 (Apr 1992) but not the disk, and no amiga, it broke years ago.

If anyone could find that demo, that'd be greatly appreciated. I used to play it two player with my brother...really fun!
Infact a whole collection of the entire amiga format coverdisks would be so so good

hey im in a good mood today so when i get home i shall look through my cover disks!

i still have a gigantic box of cover disks off amiga format some still in there celaphane wrapper

if i find it ill let you know
