Can we keep this forum permanently?

Wouldn't it be easiest just to lock this forum into read only mode for reference purposes and tell everyone to go to gp32x and leave it at that?

Are all the posts here REALLY that important? It's only a few weeks worth. Most arguments pop up again as fresh threads after a while anyway and it's not like anyone ever seems to use the search function properly. XP
Well, there are over 6000 posts in this forum - Why lose them?

Locking this forum to read only mode would be stupid, nobody would bother visiting it

why not? it would be a reference... you know, read only...

because after a couple of weeks, it will be grossly outdated and irritating for new people

What's wrong with just merging them? There are topics in here that are of value

if they were going to get merged, they already would have.

The longer it is left, the harder it is to merge, so I agree it is not looking likely.

I believe that they should allow new posts on this forum, but NOT new threads.

So everyone that wants to open a new discussion must open it at the Pandora's GP32X forum.

That way, they don't make this forum completely read-only, but they stop it to raise more than recommended and assure it's possible and quick to merge both.

I would prefer the forums remain with GP2x.

A couple of points to note for those of you wishing to move the forum away from it's roots.

1. The pandora was conceived by the GP32x community and therefore should remain a part of that community.

2. Please remember that without the GP32x community there would be no Pandora as we know it or possibly at all.
