News from all fronts

In case your browser has antitracking features and does not show the tweet. It says:
Aaaaand 3D is working on the latest PyraOS. Thanks to everyone involved :D
Now you don't have to visit centralised services.
I guess it means the proprietary driver. I guess it would have been easier if it wass free software and easier if it was upstream,
but that's sadly not available. I hope etnaviv can be made to make use of the GC350 2D accelerator ,
but it is out of my skill set.
I wonder if this 3D working implies TILER or rotator chip working, but I guess these are independent things.

I'm already back from Greece since Tuesday evening, just have so many important things to do that I couldn't summarize everything up yet...

Hope to be able to do that during the weekend or so.

You need an Evildragon like person to handle you communications :)

(you know the guy who handled communication for the pandora project ;) )

But I want hot pink because I like hot pink, not because it is all that is available. Also, black or dark grey and hot pink could look nice.
A second vote for hot pink, or at least cotton candy pink. I started 3D printing a case, I should consider finishing it soon.

Yeah, I thought you wanted pink, but I gather you prefer a more pastel tone. I am a bit mixed, because I prefer either very bright colors or very dark or subdued ones. There are only a few pinks I like, many greens, and almost all dark greys and shades of black. (I like many other colors, too, but no need to go into those now.)

I don't expect to get any pink, just like Extreme Green. Since I am already talking about pinks and greens, I think we would be more likely to get an olive drab or military type green than a truly fun color. Very few people seem to enjoy fun colored electronics anymore. I really miss some things about the 90s.

Beige? Well, I guess Jobs introduced the silly colored computers in '98, and all the handhelds I can remember were black or beige. Well, until the game boy pocket I suppose.

Beige has been discussed. The Play It Loud brick Game Boys came out before the Pocket line, and those were in a bunch of colors (and clear). I don't remember, but I am pretty sure other electronics were in different colors (the 200LX came out before the PIL series, and it is green).

Things I want to see:
  • Reicast of course
  • Mupen with and without custom textures rendered in 480p and/or 720p (preferably Banjo-Kazooie)
  • the temperatures of the protoype with everything running (only ED can deliver this)
  • Exagear if hardware acceleration works in it, too
  • Vanilla Minecaft
  • DraStic (Mario Kart or something)
  • PPSSPP
  • Yabause
  • all the other fantastic features this version of PyraOS has that were never seen before
If all of these things are getting shown off in videos before the release of the Pyra, I will be a very happy man.

...hoping notaz will give us diablo 2 for the pyra. ☺

He already has essentially, he released armhf binaries a while ago, I did get it working on the OMAP5 devboard already. Just takes compiling WINE for ARM to handle the windows bits.

I wonder what people that are unfamiliar with computers think when they read some of this stuff. I use my hands, not just arms, when drinking wine.
