The n64 is one my favourite consoles of all time i really want to see this pandora running full speed, the system is very powerful it should be no problem emulating n64.
I want to quickly break up this rumor - the Pandora might run the N64 decently, but it will take effort from a developer to get it working.

Indeed it will take effort but the coders here are the best there are and more will defect to the pandora ;)

Indeed many most coders like a challenge and this is great one.

As for might run n64 decently. PSP does a reasonable job now and the pandora is more powerful than that.

Yes, Pandora will have a much more powerful CPU. There is a lot more to it than that.

But I think for N64 emualtio, CPU and FPU is the main factor so it should be a good rewarding challange for someone.

EDIT: removed jerkiness.

Also Samurai Spirits rpg for neo geo cd if translation of the game ever gets done.
Hell yeah. Been wanting that in English since it was announced on NGCD those many years ago.

Must say, I'm in the remembering NiGHTS fondly camp - but I came to it years after it's release (I got my Saturn about a year or two before the PS2 came out when they - and the games for them - were *very* cheap), so missed the hype. I don't recall the proceedural music, which probably just goes to show how well integrated it was into the game.

I do remember the ending song and just how cheesy that was. I also remember being surprised at how short the game was (I seem to recall only four levels, though I could be very mistaken there), but seeing as I got it for £10, that wasn't too big a deal for me. Definitely a game I'd enjoy playing again, though :).

Actually it already was, in a sense - did you either of you ever play NazcaDreams? Was a Nights-esque (but 2d) game released for the GP32 in Fenix. I remember that it didn't like the early ports of Fenix to GP2x, but who knows - maybe it's better now?
You're right. The length was one of the major letdowns of the game. To me, the game was far too short and far too easy. I thought it seemed like it was designed for small children, because it completely lacked any sort of challenge. The game seemed more like a technical demonstration than a game, to me.

Admittedly, I may think differently about NiGHTs if I played the game now. I was an early Saturn adopter, and had a lot invested in the system. My expectations may have been too high. The game was, basically, the last chance for the Saturn to come back from the dead. If I remember correctly, it was the last game I ever bought for the Saturn.

No, I've never played NazcaDreams. I'm new to this scene, and missed out on GP32.

It would be really wonderful to play this on Pandora in English. Or for that matter, will be nice on PSP too in the meantime.

I'm in about the same position about the game. I really enjoyed it. I pretty much bought a Saturn for just a few games, this being one of them. I was also disappointed in the new Wii version. The analog is worse than the original was, and no tricks like the old Saturn version. Plus just the unending corn. Part of why the original was so cool was because Sonic Team used their old style of giving a little bit of story, but just enough to show you a premise of why you're doing what you're doing.

I don't think it was the last good Sonic Team game, though. Probably the last in the old style of ST. Even though they were different, I enjoyed the Adventure series, and even Shadow. Not Sonic Heroes, though. That one just didn't quite hit the spot for me.

Excellent. Thanks for the news Prophet, that's a surprise, I hadn't been to neogeo forums for a while and was unaware on how far the translation had progressed. Really looking forward to playing the game on the pandora when it is completed, assuming of course someone ports a Neo geo CD emulator.

Conkers Bad Fur Day N64

I love that game.
Oh yeah, I just bought a copy a week ago. It's hilarious "Context? Oh, so that's what he meant by context."

I played it on pc but the only linux n64 emulator (mupen64) was buggy and had weird artifacts that made impossible to me to finish the game..

Seiken Densetsu 3! (Secret of mana 2, only released in asia, but translated rom)

Beleive me, there are SO MANY games I would like to see emulated on this beast, I have chosen these in beleif of what an article on the net says about it's power - but here are my 5 :) :
(not in order of preference)

1. Resident Evil 4

2. Castlevania: SOTN or LOI

3. Super Mario 64

4. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

5. Sonic Adventure (DX)
I wouldn't expect 1, 4, or 5, ever. Although SA would be pretty sweet...

Err... something tells me that RE4 may be a touch outside the bracket of emulable games. Likewise Sonic Adventure (unless someone really does take to blasting the Dreamcast, which is possible, but generally thought unlikely). And again, Vice City. By emulation, it just ain't gonna happen.

OTOH, it is conceivable that, if any of the companies behind said games are planning on doing next-gen mobile ports for handsets planning to use the OMAP3430 then, maybe, Pandora might see something of them. But I'd say the chances of that are approximately the same as actually seeing someone slip over on a banana skin next time you go to the supermarket. Without putting the banana skin there yourself.

I don't think there's any chance of a PS2 emulator.

You're correct there. I tried a PS2 emulator half a year back. Completely and utterly unplayable on my Dual core PC. (And yes the emulator even supported dual cores) :(
