I have dreams that take place in the same set of worlds, possibly in the same universe (I actually have a name that I use to refer to these worlds). I am usually able to go back to the same place if what happens in the dream would make sense there. One big problem is that time isn't linear. Also, navigating isn't like it is on waking Earth, so things may not always be where they should be, and there may be multiple other ways to get there. (Example: "I want to go back to that place that we passed 100 meters back." After heading back, say north, 100 meters it isn't there, but going a km to the west will get you there. Also, there seem to be certain conditions that will take me wherever I need/want to go, like pushing through particularly overgrown foliage, going around a part of a mountain, etc. I really want to play games like this.)

I wouldn't be able to tell if I am adding in my dreams since I am in different forms in different dreams, not always human, and I frequently can't see myself, like my hands or whatever. I remember looking at a reflection on something (in a fairly modern urban area, so a car or window or something) I was standing in front of and seeing everything behind me, but not myself not too long ago. I didn't think about how odd that was until the mention of mirrors... It was a first-person perspective dream, and I had been physically doing things, so I had a body. I think it was on the same street as the dream where I had to force my legs to work. It might have been the same dream.

How old are you in the dream? Can you watch a mirror and see if you are ageing?

In realitive terms I have yet to catch up to the ages in the dreams. Granted I think one of them was a "memory" per se. Because "I" was sitting in a hallway waiting for a deal to go down, the building was old and the window across from me was masked partially by a water damaged piece of plywood. I was holding a pistol, that was polished up so I was using it as a mirror. ( Feg-pa 63) and looking at the tattoos on my hands. I know for certain I was 23 in age.

going from there the dreams seem to be about 23,23, 24,25, and then flashback to 22, then back to 25, 26, and the latest is 36.

However what disturbs me the most is I have had these dreams since I was eight. A few of them involved a car, it's the exact bloody car I own now. All of these dream centre around some form of organized crime.

Whilst I feel there's nothing I should try to extract from these, the uncannyness and realism is disturbing.

A side note I remembered. The reoccurring school I have in some of my dreams is the same school my fiancée has. To the point where she has been able to confirm things I purposely leave out and continue off things I say about it. Niether of us have been to this school, I doubt it even exists, but the layout.. Layers and abandoned sections we both know about.

able to confirm
wow! Freaky!

Can you make a book out of it? That story really goes well. Make it so that he can see through the reflection, without looking back. And that the gang celebrated birthdays (hotdogs/snackbar, etc), while at home, they did not. etc...

Easily could. I realized the recent nightmare I've had. I've only had three in my life, but the last one involved hiding in the secret passage, of the secret passage, ( yo dog) listening to a radio scanner as some sort of militarized group was doing a sweep of the neighborhood and by that mean lighting up places. Battering ramd the works. There were four other people with me freaking out. I think they were family or family of "family" crying and sobbing thinking they were going to do die.

The only way one could know there was a secret passage was from the tiny window ( one sided) we could see the flash of machine gun fire and hear it both over the scanner and in real life. It was the only thing that disturbed me, probably because they did nothing wrong. They breached my door ( took satisfaction in the fact they were taking forever since the door was reinforced) but they got in sweeped the place I remember covering somebody's mouth as I held an obrez pistol at the secret passages door. They went into the basement stomped around knocked over something and left. I'm pretty sure this was the influence of another dream I had the earliest one.

I can remember these dreams better then I can remember my memories. These are crystal clear, till the point it's disturbing remembering. I can remember the details even down to the smell.

I'd appreciate the thoughts of anyone that is in one as I've been made aware recently (although I did have I clue) that someone that is significantly younger than my geriatric ass would like to get familiar.. & I'm now feeling incredibly awkward in this particular persons company.
Apart from a few very brief flings I've been a confirmed bachelor for 15+ years now and even though I have empirical evidence that it can & does work (there's 27 years between my Uncle & his wife and they have been happily married for 20 years with two wonderful grown up children) I can't help feeling incredibly uncomfortable with the thought and as pathetic as it may sound haven't a clue what the 'right' course of action would be.. (I do like the girl & enjoy her company very much though)

This is serious guys (YES really) and not just a aren't I great post.

One of my GFs was 7 years older, another one 9 years younger than me (all legal and those two had about the same mental maturity...), making the range quite big since I'm not an ...what would one say... ageist?
I agree with the comrade here, it's something you could talk about with her.

As others have said, you need to address that elephant in the room head-on in conversation. If you're unable to feel comfortable, be yourself, or feel awkward about friends/family, then these may be things you need to work through.

Age differences, like gender or race, are arbitrary social preconceptions/prejudices. If it's legal in your country, and morally/culturally acceptable to yourself and your partner, then go for it!

If there's a willingness and openness to talk, there's nothing to stop you.

Good luck.

Age is totally irrelevant imo. It is the people in the relationship that matter.

I have been in a relationship with someone several years older than me for a long time, and it doesn't bother us (we don't care if it bothers others). I was also in a relationship of sorts with someone that was half my age older than me (I was an adult at the time, but it was the age difference where one person was an adult while the other was still a child, and of the sort that is less socially acceptable in my country).

I also have a male relative that married a woman around the age of his children, and they were still going strong after many years when I last interacted with them.

If it doesn't bother the only people that matter, those in the relationship, then it is fine (as long as it is legally acceptable). Don't bother yourself with concerns over what others think (ever, about anything...enjoy life while you can!). If it bothers those in the relationship it could be a problem, and it seems like it bothers you. This is something you need to be ok with before you drag someone else into it.

Genetics are very much non arbitrary. Giving equal opportunity doesn't mean equal opportunity is a given. From what I can tell the stigma against age differences, or old age rather, stem from the risk you incur when having children.

By your argument, as long as they're both fertile, and capable of successfully mating, then it's always okay?

In many cases there are even "normal" relationships in which there may be other, unexpected complications having children. It does not mean they can't have a meaningful relationship.

Social conditioning is great isn't it? ;)

and as pathetic as it may sound haven't a clue what the 'right' course of action would be..

Talk to each other and see where things lead.

There was a girl much younger than me that seemed interested. .. I thought about the things I did at that age for fun... and knew I would have to 'hang out' with her friends.
Just thinking about it made me irritated, so I decided not to ask her out.
