I'll be on a rehearsal weekend out of town with my choir on these particular days (14.-16.), because we have two big concerts in March.

No, there are no single girls in my age available there, well maybe in the orchestra which comes along but I'm not able to do small talk.

Can you imagine a hardcore Linux geek with HP48 in one hand and chocolates/roses in the other?

Chocolate roses, on the other hand, might be cool. I could really get into the 3D-printing technique required to model them :D
Don't forget to ask Craig for advice, he is a chocolate printing expert after all. :D

Lol I can see this idea went down like a lead balloon. However, I was thinking like Monkfish said about sharing what you're all doing that day, we could make up nice poems, we could post..pictures..of hearts...ok..this isn't going to work, is it? hehe.

Neeej though, come on, we can do nice things! :D

@Moxie: started? why, my dear Mr Moxie, I've always spoken Swenglish, but alas perhaps not so much on here. Jag vet inte why ;) :D

Oh, dear. You're...you're one of...of US!!!

I might just have to link the greatest Swenglish speech ever, just because of that...

Oh, well. Those of you with no exposure to Swedes should be aware that we're not quite as neurotic about below the belt references as, for instance, americans...

I'm not sure if the sort of people who spend their time on forums (fora? forae? my Latin is rusty) for obscure electronics generally do "romance".

Err, even geeks can have a loved one.I do as many does on these boards (many are parents...). I'm pretty sure a large bunch of us will have a little something for our loved one on valantine's day. Dont let the fact that you're single fool you.

EDIT: @Strigoi : These bikers are awesome !

I was trying to say that I doubted that geeks would be into the sappy  pink-hearts-and-bad-poetry kind of romance, not that they (or rather, 'we') are incapable of emotion.

I wish my wife would buy me another Pandora.  But she already said NO :(
