Notaz regarding the certificate isues. doing any git clone command results in :

fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/ekianjo/.......':SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
so is there anything to be done to get https access working properly with the command line ?
I know I sound like a looping record, but it works for me.

Which version of git are you running (run "which git" and "git --version")? Maybe the one you are using was compiled to use certificates from some other location that they are installed in firmware. Also check if /etc/ssl/certs/ and /usr/share/ca-certificates/mozilla/ has any files.

Nothing changed on my Pandora, just updating (no full flash) to 1.72 and removing samba of course by hand.

I've had an issue with my sd slot nr.2 today. The activity light stayed on and thunar was unresponsive. I then tried to reboot but during the boot process the light stayed on again. 

To solve the issue I switched my pandora off, removed the sd card, booted my pandora and inserted the card after the OS was loaded.

I was on .72 RC2 and it did update something so maybe its resolved now?

Nothing changed on my Pandora, just updating (no full flash) to 1.72 and removing samba of course by hand.
It seems sebt3 linked gnome games to one of samba libs for absolutely no reason whatsoever (the games surely don't need it).


So either he should fix it, or you'll have to install samba to use that PND.

This is the same issue Swordfish II reported and was supposed to be fixed by kernel update from Jul 19th (only available through "OS upgrade").


I hope you were on earlier version? If you still have the issue, I'll need your dmesg output.

yes, I had read about it and had the same problem so I did a full reflash an an os update but today it happened again.

yes, I had read about it and had the same problem so I did a full reflash an an os update but today it happened again.

here"s my dmesg output, I hope the info you need is still in there as I did another os update and reboot a few times.
Unfortunately it's not there, I need dmesg after it happens or some method that triggers it at least occasionally.
 
Woah so 1.72 was awful on my CC, but it is amazing on my 1ghz.


WiFi speed stabilized and doubled on the 1ghz. There is a small hang when opening pale moon that wasnt there in 1.71 but after that it just flies (used to max at 500kbps and fluctuate down to 80kbps before jumping back up. Now it is 1.0 or slightly higher mbps and stable)


My two cents: CC users don't bother, 1ghz absolutely upgrade

What problems do you have with it on your CC?  I haven't noticed any major issues.
 
Notaz regarding the certificate isues. doing any git clone command results in :

fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/ekianjo/.......':SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
so is there anything to be done to get https access working properly with the command line ?
It tuns out this is caused by running codeblocks PND, as it causes a mixture or old and new libs to be loaded by all programs and certificates to be searched differently. I've done some hacks, would be great if you could run OS upgrade and see if it helps.
 
Just got around to installing this, and the wifi is back to sucking up all available bandwidth - which on my PC is capable of a couple of meg/second! The Pandora only delivers 70KB/Sec though, but no other devices can access the net while it's downloading.

Speed is very smooth and constant though, so that's a good thing :)

I haven't changed the driver since the last time you reported, only powersave threshold from 100K to 30K, so it's the chip doing it's random business as usual.

You can create /etc/pandora/conf/wl1251 if you want and put "ps_rate_threshold=100000" there to make it use 100k threshold, but IIRC you reported it's unstable then.

Yeah, that's the one. It's unstable, varying in speed wildly, but at least the rest of the family can get on the 'net :)

Perhaps you could find a happy medium in an intermediate value?   65000 perhaps?
