Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Are you sure the second one doesn't supersede the first one (the dates are weird however)? I vaguely remember that that's how it worked, but it's been so long. Since it doesn't work you'll want to get in contact with ED though he's kind of swamped.

Am I doing it right lmao? Both have different dates too but both say it's not ready or invalid code
I suspect yours just isn't ready yet. I get the impression that ED both has had little to no time to work on getting Pyras out, and may be concerned about (sound or stability) issues that should be ironed out before proceeding with with production.

I asked OpenAI when I might expect my Pyra, in the absence of other information. This is what it said:

If a Dragonbox Pyra handheld was ordered in October 2016, when might the order be expected to ship? Do you know what the current problems with production are?

The Dragonbox Pyra handheld was a crowdfunded project and its release date was originally expected to be in 2016, but it faced several delays. I'm not sure about the exact shipping date for orders placed in October 2016. It is difficult for me to know the current production status and problems as my knowledge cutoff is 2021 and the information about the production and shipping of the Dragonbox Pyra handheld is not available to me.

Do you think it might be Two Months™?

It is difficult for me to estimate a specific time frame for when an order placed in October 2016 for the Dragonbox Pyra handheld might ship. As I mentioned earlier, the Dragonbox Pyra handheld was a crowdfunded project and it faced several delays, so the shipping date could have been affected by those delays. Additionally, the shipping date would likely depend on the specific details of the order, such as the shipping address, the quantity of units ordered, and any customizations or add-ons. "Two Months™" is a term used by some crowdfunded projects to indicate that they expect the shipping to happen within two months, but as I don't have any information about the Dragonbox Pyra specifically, I can't confirm if this applies.

AI sucks.

I've preordered in June 2016...is it too early for my order? Thanks
It is way to early. You should expect your pyra in two to three years.
Sure. Base on the numbers from people reporting in this forum, we average approx. 17 units per month. Based on these numbers, we are at 220 on christmas. On the following diagram, you can see, that everything is as usual. The most funny thing for me, pyra should make everything different than pandora, but at the end, everything is exactly the same. (with one exception: craig is not involved). BTW: last "official" newspost from January 9th?

Another micro-update from ED (not tagged here so not to disturb him from making Pyrae) on IRC, who of course is still far too busy to post an official update, unfortunately.

When asked about the new copper cases:
Well, I haven't picked up the samples with the new color yet

:) They had just been finished last week.

When asked for a production update:
Well, this week, the next batch of Pyra emails will be sent out, as we finished the previous orders :D

or rather: have 1 or 2 units left, which will be assembled in the next couple of days).
Apart from that, except for all the work on the software that you followed here yourself, there's not much. Nikolaus is currently testing the RK3568 on an Odroid board. It seems to be 20% faster than the OMAP5.
(only the CPU, no 3D or similar has been benchmarked)
So yeah, we're at the beginning here and it's still far until we have a CPU Board designed, but we're working on it.

I don't really know about the technicalities of any software / hardware progress, and am afraid that if I attempted to explain anything I'd misrepresent it, so @Wally if you have more to add when you have a chance (or anyone else regarding the kernel / software or CPU upgrade side of things), please feel free to fill in some details if needed.

So there is movement - yes, painfully slow - but as we all know the one who feels that pain most of all is ED, so I can only say thanks to him again for his tenacity and hard work.

Red it on Discord, i hope there will be some sort of tutorial how to open up the Pyra whitouth screwing up the spring loadet shoulderbuttons and change to the new CPU Board, i will upgrade but until then im fine whit the Omap5, its good enought for now and it prevents the Pyra to be a expensive Door Stopper as you can work whit it allready
Wally wrote something abouth the possibillity of a Gamecube Emulator but might be this was just something i miss red as it was also said the CPU is 20 % Faster..
The Steamdeck is lot more than 20 % faster than the Pyra, and i got somethimes some slow downs when i have to fight enemys on the Gamecube Zelda Games..

Hmm my invoice is 010986 and i die not receive any mail :( i will reach out for ed
Sorry for that. I should tell that i already paid the full price a year ago when checking the link from post 1 and it said your order will soon be ready. I did NOT receive an EMAIL saying my Pyra would be ready. So maybe we both are in the next batch of assembly and mails will go out soon and ed had one on the shelf already and just send it to me.

Tracking link? Will I get a chance to update my address?
My invoice is coming up. Holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitt!!
Well, if i remember correctly i made a checkout at the shop and entered my shipping address. But no warranties ;)

October 2016 now out for ship (well maybe) 2 months ..cough ok ED maybe we we should have a list of orders and numbers and 17 devices a month @ this rate im looking at 10 years before i get mine that might shortern up a bit as latter years have less peeps. My point is maybe a list of all that bought and who your working on would be nice to see

seems like you may be trading final fees for new stock to build again and tthough this is awesome for us wouldnt it be better to take a loan buy all and build all and charge an extra 50 or 100 to final fees to get it done ina year or two

the promise of this system is upgrade, the long road is cheeper for us for sure but getting hardware upgrades is also one, advantage over alt's i see the post for the new cpu but im refering to more than that all 3 board upgrades. its hard to dev that while in the neverending push

Not a bash here just thinking of ideas so w dont wait so long, 2016 october is 6.5 years far from 2 months

i was just taken back, I knew the 2 months wasnt really 2 moths but i guess i was thinking 1-3 years at the max. had no idea where it was at, my reaction was reality and a lot of alcohol

Don't stress. Ed has made changes to the case design that will allow mass production. I think it won't be too long before that takes effect.

It will be no more than and no less than Two Months.

I've given up trying to be like Nostradamus, and predict when I'll get mine. I think I'll perhaps go through a phase of shocked disbelief, before finally concluding "wow, that last x years has really gone by fast."
