Hu6280 Alpha V0.5 Released

If you were a george foreman product you'd be the:

'Mean Green Coding Machine'

'It codes the fat right out of the food on the grill and into a handy collector'

'I like it so much, I even put my name on it' *George Foreman holds up Vobbo*

Damn Dude, you are BLASTING out some great code!
Keep up the good work, the emulator is getting better and better with every release!
Thanks.

Cool. I will donate $40 when this gets closer to final. This is a promise. Hopefully others will pitch in a few bucks too.

I will do it when:

It has full stereo sound, it runs at least FS1(30 FPS) at 200 MHz with the sound, has saves, supports .zipped ROMs, runs 95% of the games with no glitches, has consistant speed (no speed fluctuations except the ones found in an actual PC-Engine).

I would give even more if it supported Super GFX and/or CD ROM.

Looks like that I may need to pay out soon, it is comming along fast.

Good work :)

To quote Star Trek: Generations:

'They arrive on Tuesday'

Well at the rate that George Foremans lean green coding machine is going it it may well be very soon.

Thanks for this new update !

While waiting my donation to come, please accept my Vobbo's rap :

"When vobbo's on the thing.
Things goes fast as lightning."

EDIT :
There's a speed increase of 2-3 fps on all games.

vobbo, do you have a job?

Although it looks like you'll end up living off the interest on those donations :P

there wouldn't be much interest on them. i know it's a joke but i feel like going off-topic: the best he could do is put them in a savings account (since they would come in sporadically) which would get him 1-2% tops.

on the other hand, they might be taxed. :(

Is this emulator better than GP2XEngine? Didn't that already run fullspeed (underclocked) with sound & savestates?

GP2XEngine runs at about fullspeed overclocked to 266 with sound and frameskip 1-2 (which is hard coded)

I'd much rather play at 1/2 speed with 0 frameskip since the PCEngine uses interlaced graphics for most of the shooter games. You can't see your weapon beam in GP2XEngine. I'm just waiting on stavestates. I can live without sound, but I would love to have savestates.

Gp2xEngine is a pretty decent emulator but it does require 266mhz and quite a few games need more than frameskip 2. Airzonk, Magical Chase, and Super Star Soldier are a couple that still run slow even with frameskip 2. I would also rather play an emulator with fs 0 at half speed, but with the way Vobbo's emulator is being updated it's only a matter of time till we have a very fast emulator with fs 0 and sound. I'm definitly going to be donating for this. The PC-Engine/Turbo Duo is my favorite system, and since my Turbo Duo doesn't play the Redbook Audio anymore I'm really looking forward to seeing this emulator develop.
