Release Daikatana

Could posting in the epic forums get their attetion?

I could try to get some info if you like.

The version with qemu user already works but is way too slow.

The guys from oldunreal have made such deal before so why shouldn't it be possible for others.

Maybe they are afraid that somebody starts selling a crappy android version.

Edit: also sorry for all the offtopic talk. If appropriate a mod could split this discussion into a separate thread.
No problem about the offtopic, I'd love to have Unreal / UT on the Pandora.

If you can get some info / attention, yeah, sure, you can try.

It is a mod/stand alone game for ioquake3 as far as I can see.

I see. There was a Windows full version that is not maintained anymore and the mobile versions just package the engine with the mappack. So this should work out of the box with ioquake3 what we have a port for already iirc.

Sorry. My mistake.

They seem to have access to the source of Unreal to do community patches and already added more modern renderers, soundframeworks and bugfixes as well as Linux support.
Part of Unreal Tournament *is* open-source. It's a good part for us, too (the OpenGL renderer is in there): https://github.com/stephank/surreal

If someone ports the OpenGL render library to ARM, I'll get it working with Unreal Tournament through QEMU (it's a bunch of x86 assembly).

(There's one in the commit history or something that doesn't use ARB shaders.)

Hmmm, nice. I'll take a look at what I can build out of this :)

Please help me, It doesn't run.

I haven't installed the game, just copied the 'data' folder from my CD.

If I run the game from terminal, this happens:

Code:
Runscript	/usr/pandora/scripts/pnd_run.sh
Pndfile daikatana_ptitseb.pnd
Subapp Number	0
Invoking: 'Daikatana'
--
Mount the PND [SUCCESS]
Starting the application ( runscript.sh ) [SUCCESS]
Restoring the frame buffer status [SUCCESS]
uMount the PND [SUCCESS]

It most likely needs more than the data directory, there a ton of other files in the root daikatana directory.. I installed the game via wine and copied the entire contents of the daikatana directory into the pandora/daikatana folder.

@TrashyMG:Thx, I'm just installing it under wine.

Thank you very much!

Now it works.

What you see in the logs are all files from the data folder on CD. After Installing the game I got pak1 and several other files.

New build on the repo. I fixed the save issue (it was a bad mix between header and lib, on the jpeg one).

Build 02

How do you bring up the console?  Can't seem to get ~ to work, haven't been able to find anything in this thread...

I used an autoexec.cfg and added the following line:

console 1

I put the file in the same folder as the other .cfg files - no change.  Can't bring up the console.  Anyone have any luck with this?
