Then maybe they can make a mix that supports a fraction of the full 1.5 tons and still offer significantly improved protection from no carbon mix and less WiFi attenuation than a full carbon mix. It would be nice if this can be tested in the real world with the samples that are being provided. Another option might be to use full carbon for most of the body, but use regular plastic over the antenna section. As long as that is not in a corner, then it should not reduce the robustness of the case by much.As far as I know, carbon is frowned upon in modern RC quad-copters and cars because of shielding 2,4 GHz communication.
But maybe this material is not affecting this range because of another structure when mixed with plastic.
