rfom your own linkRegarding carbon and 2.4 Ghz:
There are quite many topics on the RC forums over the internet:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?762850-2-4-Ghz-systems-and-carbon-fiber
and this one is especially interesting:
https://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23819
couldnt be bothered to read too far but most of the thread was talking more about the 2.4 GHz band being crowded by WiFi,Microwaves etc...no reall hard scientific studies with evidence......Meh....
700+ pilots at IRCHA, MOST of them were using 2.4 systems. No problems reported.
You can get all technical about it but the fact is that MANY people are using them with ZERO issues, myself included.
If it's true that carbon composites attenuate the signal significantly more than unreinforced case plastics (I'm sceptical that the difference is worth worrying about), this case design proposal would mean we'd have to point the bottom of our Pyras at the WiFi hot-spot. I suppose this would work if we lie on our backs on the floor, but it might look a bit odd when we're using the device in public.Another option might be to use full carbon for most of the body, but use regular plastic over the antenna section..
Seems like a nice way of keeping your sanity.I try checking in every 4-6 months..
Not a chance!Any chance of a rough eta at this point?
Because heaven forbid that these people have lives, jobs, and things to do outside of the Pyra, right? Not a chance!
No clear definite progress has been made on the 4 GB problem and it seems that those who have the resources to work on it have very little time for it. It might be resolved this afternoon (there are still some things to be checked, or to finish checking, that would really take very little time), or there might be no progress for months.
He wasn't criticising them, he was just stating a fact.Because heaven forbid that these people have lives, jobs, and things to do outside of the Pyra, right?
How so?That doesn't sound good!
