It all depends what sort of bad day you're having JDTAY, but I wonder if cutting out the caffiene could have anything to do with it? While it's never good to be dependent on any kind of drug, caffeine's considered fairly benign, but going cold turkey on it affects different people in different ways.

Well, this morning I posted a dumb angry rant and left it up for fifty minutes before catching myself and deleting it.

I'm feeling better now, though; just had four eggs.

most often the current situation is a mix of a lot of factors, right?
eating less, cutting caffeine and cutting Depakote (which i also had to look up, here are the side effects!) is a lot of change/stress for body and mind, i guess. maybe eat a tad more, drink some good tea and add some guarana may help a little. all the best JDTAY! you will make it!

Hi it’s been a long awhile since I’ve been here.

Life got in the way and well I was reminded of this place. Well and by life I mean getting t-boned by somebody without insurance and ending up in a ditch with a concussion.

Luckily my insurance is paying for things but I haven’t been able to work since January 24th 2019. I need to walk with a cane and I constantly experience cognitive issues. My life has been turned upside down and currently I can’t sleep.

Hope to darken the doorway a bit more .

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know then extent of your injuries but it took me a full three years after my accident before I decided my leg felt like it belonged to me. Keep up with your PT even when it feels useless/unnecessary

Yeah I’m just trying to deal with getting control of my mind it’s hard not to feel distraught when everything seems bleak.

Wow, I thought is was a temporal thing, but we are months into the future now. What kind of a-hole does that to other people? All the best, man!
And now with summerdays, there is even more light. Hope you find the sleep you need to keep functioning.

Hope to darken the doorway a bit more .
Can you explain this to me, what does this mean? And if it is not slang... is it sleep related? (why not buy those eyepatches to sleep. They look horrible, but are quite effective.

Try to be really aware of every bit of improvement all the time!
I hope you get well soon™, just two more months.

On a lighter note:
The concert of one of my favorite underground bands (Nornir, BlackMetal) this saturday I really really looked forward to for weeks ... has been canceled on short notice.

man, life sucks sometimes!
i hope you get a lot better soon! in the meantime always look to the positive little things that get better over time and
never drop your head. if everything is too much, try to "just be" in this moment to get power again.
all the *verry* best !!!

I might've said something like this before, but I'm kinda worried that my medication regimen is too focused on making me social, when all I really wanna do in life is be able to concentrate enough to play video games most of the day. Currently, I probably spend more time on the internet on my Switch than playing games on it. Man, no wonder Nintendo doesn't want people to access the browser.

Had a good day today despite the heat. The 1.5L of energy drink I imbibed may have contributed in a small way to my good humour, but I'm sceptical.

Yeah, pretty hot here too. Bought a small fridge, but the outside is very hot, trying to keep things cool inside. At least I have fresh cold water.
Need to find my second USB fan...

It's not so bad here atm due to the recent rain showers. We did have a couple of power cuts though, they decided to occur when I was part way though updating my PC. Luckily thee was no damage done.

It's almost 2:30 in the morning here. Trying to decide between making an insomnia thread or just using the Caring Corner.

Well, I guess I've made my decision. Now if only I could make a decision to sleep.

Edit: I probably shouldn't have had that coffee twenty minutes ago. To be fair, I'm still on decaf.

Edit 2: I think this usually happens on Wednesday nights and Thursday mornings these days, because I go out with my family to eat on Wednesdays, and I usually down a few sodas when I do. It was Sun Drop this time. And regular instead of diet, which is unusual for me.

Edit 3: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Drop "Among soft drinks, it is known for its high caffeine content (63 mg per 12 oz can, 9 mg higher than a 12 oz can of Mountain Dew, but not as much as Vault with 70.5 mg per 12 oz can)." Well, that solves that mystery.
