"Smach Z is Back!" ...?

That video was fun :)
that channel's pretty cool, i've been a subscriber since someone posted his video about the PGS in the PGS thread on here :D

<fangirling>and while the "shady crowdfunding" vids (there are more!) are funny, my favorites are the indiebox reviews. not the usual angry gamer stuff, and even if he's not a fan of the game's genre, he still highlights good features and mechanics in case someone else might be interested in it. also, the hardware reviews are nice and very detailed.</fangirling>

Gosh, that video was great. After the PGS one I was actually somewhat concerned that at least SMACH Z would one day see the daylight. That video completely changed my opinion.

Man, they uploaded the SAME EXACT VIDEO for... I don't know... I think this is the third time now.

Mmm as skeptical as I am that video is connecting far too many dots for me.

Rhombio has Rhesponded (kill me) seemingly to both the allegations of them violating NDA's and them faking stuff.
This upcoming AMA might be interesting.

Update: 12/07/2017

Leaving discussions about the Smach Z project aside, at Rhomb.io we would like to clarify that we have never received any crowdfunding money.

We are a hardware development company that was hired to design, develop and manufacture an electronic device. During development, a point was reached where work could not be continued due to discrepancies between our client and us.

We understand that the only way to clarify and demonstrate our value as a serious company is to announce that we will participate on a AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit. We will update this post to add date and time of the AMA as well as the link for anyone who might be interested.

However, as a company we have Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) with our customers and suppliers, and because of that we won’t reply any questions that might compromise said agreements.

The main cause of this publication is to show we have the confidence to prove we are a serious company, and that Rhomb.io is a great platform.

For this reason, during the next few weeks we will open our contest “Get Free Engineering”, to bring everyone the chance to have a product developed completely for free. Four electronic projects that fit within the Rhomb.io platform will be chosen, developed and displayed in our booth at the Embedded World Event of 2018.
The participation requirements will be available in our website.

If you want to know what the standard NDA that we usually sign with our clients is like, click here.

updates project still running and the great new that AMD will support the project having the latest APU ryzen and vega and delivery in the first quarter of next year.

Can anyone read their latest update titled "AMD New SoC based on Ryzen and Vega" ?

Haven't you heard the news?

While Trump and Macron did not agreed on most points, they both confirmed that they will back smach z with public funds!

Edit: it seems Pyongyang is interested too as kim loath having to use some Samsung tablets to control is ICBM, through it might be hard for him with all the other interested governments that wants to go in...

I can't, but let me take a wild guess: their super competent new partners were totally ready to roll out a new product from nothing in like 4 months, but they conveniently decided to wait for the Next Better Thing instead.

The Raven Ridge Zen/Vega SoCs haven't even been officially announced by AMD yet, much less have they given a product listing or release date. So this will conveniently add several months minimum to their supposed (completely unrealistic) release date. Meanwhile they can sit back and blame the delay on AMD. But while it could buy them time it won't solve the bigger problem which is that they apparently don't have enough money to actually do any of this, and probably couldn't even if they did.

That said, the lowest power Raven Ridge solution probably would be better than the Merlin Falcon monstrosity they currently have selected.

Nah, you're wrong, the reason for the delay is that they wanted to get away from DHL UPS and the like, they don't like small players like these. they are planning to have the smash Z reindeer delivered instead, unfortunately the end of year is already pretty busy for them...
Smash Z already tasked Google to adapt their Santa's tracking page for their devices delivery.

uh, didn't their first campaign say something about partnering up with amd and something failed so they switched to that clickarm thing? this is like a soap opera but with companies instead of people...

I suggest a merger between PGS and Smach Z team... I bet together they'll find a hardware developer willing to completely waste their time ^^

Good idea, maybe we should also merge into a topic called "Scamorron Island".

They could also talk to what's his name from the Retro VGS to make a console scam.

AMA by the CEO of Rhombio is live.

A number of barbed questions so far and zero replies.

I can see StopDropandRetro in there under one or more alias's . Interesting what the Smach Z team had wrote to him, totally unsurprising though - paticularly the legl threat

Update: finally they are replying,
