Did u see the other photo?
[doublepost=1471538050,1471537937][/doublepost]I foud these other too Ocosmos cs1 and erathink they look kind of the same thing

Thing looks like a Radiowecker powered by Windows 2000.

Is that Windows 95?
No most likely not, I think it was Windows 2000 that changed "My Network" to "My Network Places" shown in the photo. It May be Windows 7 in classic mode, but I'm more apt to think it's XP, the default icons on windows 2000 are bit different.

You should see the other photo of that one and they look completely different
[doublepost=1471538595,1471538554][/doublepost]I think the lower part is actually the back
[doublepost=1471539767][/doublepost]For that gaming side there was gonna be the razer switchblade but never came out

Why only include microSD in the list? Dual full sized SD slots is a big thing for many of us. It increases the on-device storage capabilities to insane amounts - well over a terabyte - AND lets us transfer/copy data from one SD card (pulled from a camera) to another SD card without having to search for dongles.

Put another way, the expansion ports and multiple SD slots on the Pyra means that it can also take on the roles otherwise covered by items like compute sticks, Gole1, micro set top boxes, micro laptops, chrome books, etc...

The Pyra is a convergence device. It will cover many many roles beyond gaming.

Sheesh. Because I forgot to make it extra generic and just say "expandable storage". I didn't intend ONLY MicroSD.

Not sure I'll see
[doublepost=1471537366,1471536686][/doublepost]So i found this thing but I'm not sure if it's real but here it is

[doublepost=1471537410][/doublepost]It says it has qame controls

Never heard of this one before.
Looks like it's made by people that didn't play any video game ever.

Wow... Yeah. I don't know if we should count that. Look at the Start button. At best that is XP in Classic style. And XP is out. Plus, calling those gaming controls is a stretch.

So here's the latest list:
  • Recent hardware (no more than 5 years old)
  • Pocketable/portable
  • Self contained stand-alone battery operation
  • Full Modern Desktop OS (Linux, Windows, maybe Chrome, etc. Just not Android as that deserves its own list. And no XP.)
  • Built in physical keyboard and/or gaming controls
  • Expandable storage (MMC, SD, MiniSD, MicroSD, UFS, SSD, etc.)
  • USB
  • WiFi
  • Bluetooth
  • 3G/4G/LTE wireless
  • HDMI/Video out
Happy now?

Had it become more than just a concept, I could see it making the list. Although it still looks like it would have needed a mouse:

Actually, I'd prefer WinXP to Win7/8/10 in a mobile system like this one since it's way less demanding on the hardware and has more than enough awesome games still available.
Of course Linux is the sensible way to go anyway.

Maybe, but if I'm looking for new hardware, I would want it to run current software as well. Even Google Chrome doesn't support updates on XP anymore.

I think the era of umpc is slowly dissolving because of smartphones tablets
It always has been a nieche and I got the feeling that Europeans and Americans just got interested in it because they slowly got used to doing pc things on the go on a crippled pc (=smartphone) while Japanese people for example care about this for quite a long time already afaik and had more like this around already.
This market rather seems to be growing.

I think building you're own umpc out of a single board computer is one of the best ways because theyre getting better like the udoo x86 can handle 3 4k screens at the same time and can run both linux and windows I'm waiting for my screen for my udoo neo ex
[doublepost=1471542193,1471541221][/doublepost]I think somebody put linux on a 3ds
