Release UAE4All new version

Just do like I explained before: Insert an adf-disc into drive df0: and press select/ctrl. The game should start. If not, then try other adf-discs. Don't try to run AGA-version of games. These are for newer versions of the amiga and not for the amiga500 which uae4all emulates.

Huzzah!.. many thanks for your time & patience

You had hard time to run amiga games.

It's hard first time then it easy, when you know how to do it.

@garret how do you like amiga games and you can put 4 disks in each drive so you don't need to go back to disk drives.

Hm, I also have tearing issues within the middle of the screen... with any resolution.

Why is fame the first option - I normally use UAE as compatability is higher and performance doesnt seem a problem
With FAME/C the compatibility is almost as good but you can play most games at 500 MHz at fullspeed while with UAE core you need more MHz (which drains more battery life).

On vertical scrolling I get a weird tearing effect about 1/10 of the way up the screen from the bottom. Seems to be every resolution option and pinball dreams is a good test. Is this vsync related?
Thanks again.

When I replaced notaz' last year's SDL lib with his new one I noticed right away there was tearing in the GUI which wasn't there before. Thus I was close to not implement the changes (which the new SDL made possible). Then I tested Pinball Dreams and didn't get tearing in-game. Seems like the tearing is only in the GUI.

Just tested Pinball Dreams again and there was slight tearing for a couple of seconds - but then it was gone.

However I'll still upload a package for notaz to test - maybe he can find a problem with his new SDL.

edit: Damn, just tried Turrican II - and there's terrible tearing. Will look into this...

The tearing is gone when you change to frameskip 1. It's a bit choppy then of course.

The tearing is even visible when you don't move in Turrican 2 and there's a waterfall on screen.

I have to say this is one of the best emulators out there for the Pandora. The improvement is remarkable!!

The Amiga games are some of the best ever made. I just played Galaga 92 and do say it is my fav version of the series. I am a Galaga fanatic. My next favorite version would be Galaga 90 on Hugo.

Thanks for this.

Doublebuffering doesn't work with this SDL version. It shows not only in the tearing but also in the more responsive controls in this version because the 1 frame of input lag (=0.02sec. @50Hz), which doublebuffering would cause, is missing. ;)

Hopefully notaz will correct this soon. (See http://boards.openpa...post__p__114489).

Btw., when doublebuffering is working again I'll add the option to disable it in the gui (in order to eliminate input lag) for non-scrolling games where tearing is not an issue (still 1 frame is negligible).

This also doesn't seem to be saving config files at all for me...
You have to delete your old .conf-files and create new ones for this release (sry forgot to mention that).

@PokeParadox: I don't use the pnd version myself, but I added some dirs to it now - did this help?

I got a bit more success by manually adding "conf" dir inside the uae4all appdata dir.

Now I can get per game configs to save. I cannot save global settings though.

It also created the roms dir file... but I had to manually edit it to point to my sd card.

I suggest you add some bash checking in the runme to create this folder at least.

I've downloaded this latest version and tried out a few Amiga titles that used to make previous versions stutter, all seem to work great so far from my testing!(do rest assured, I spent far too long "trying out" Yo Joe and Wizkid again this morning!!

Thanks as ever for all the great work done on this emulator!! :)

Really like your updates, big improvements this time. This has probably been asked before, and it's nothing urgent, but would it be possible to set the Mhz clock speed of the amiga? If we could set it to 14mhz instead of 7mhz we could get a nice performance boost for games like Wings.
