Silence!

I know you're busy and the unboxing video itself can wait. But - did the box itself arrive without being crushed, lit on fire, drowned, soaked in caustic chemicals, stuck on the wrong side of an erupting volcano, or run through a wood chipper? (Trying to cover all of the bases - for some reason cases are disaster magnets.)

Scribbling "FRAGILE" on an envelope is no where near as effective at protecting contents as using a cardboard box and some balled up newspaper. Hope the contents are intact.

No they shouldn’t be that fragile but as they’re still prototypes and the the company hopes for following contracts they wants to make sure they come safely to the customer
And yes an Carton would be better but maybe they wantet it to ship whit the normal Postal Service so the normal Postman can take it on its round, also envelopes are faster than a normal package

Are the cases so fragile then? Sure I would not put a heavy box on it, but still...

Would you put it in the bottom of a bin and dump 200 Kilos of letters in on top of it?

Hopefully it's fine. But - I have a lingering concern that an un-assembled case would have unsupported edges and may warp under excessive load. Where this is a prototype case to ensure that all of the measurements are correct, any chance of stress during shipping seems like a silly risk. If something measures off or doesn't fit quite right, was that a mold issue or tweaked in shipping issue? Again, hopefully not an issue.

Maybe they shipped it assembled - that is how it would be strongest after all.

The package looks like it was shipped the cheapest way possible, though. Around here you could put as many "fragile" notes on it as you want, they'd still try to fit it through the mail slit.

What about OpenBSD? Or even Plan 9, which has some (slightly) more modern forks like 9front? I'm personally planning to port both OpenBSD and 9front to the Pyra.

Good to hear that at least one of the BSDs is planned to be ported! I'm a NetBSD user since the 0.8 times (and some of my scripts or, hmm, local solutions, are really that old), but I've never used the OpenBSD. After a short look into the documentation it seems that porting my localisms to OpenBSD should be relatively straightforward, but I will probably need a test install to verify this.

Plan 9 I've checked long, looong time ago. It looked nice at that time, but still, I prefer vi to sam, and ksh to rc...
