Here is HakuNeko, a Mangas Downloader.

It's based on wxWidget and download Mangas as a buch of JPG in Folders.

    History log:
    ========

    Build 06
    ----------

    • Update to latest sources (1.4.2)
    • Update to wxWidget 3.0.3
    Build 05
    ----------

    • Update to wxWidget 3.0.2
    • Fixed error message (with new build of wxWidget)
    Build 04
    ----------

    • Update to latest sources
    Build 03
    ----------

    • Update to latest sources
    • Using wxWidget 3.0
    Build 02
    ----------

    • Repackage to include a missing screenshot
    Build 01
    -----------

    • Initial release.

As ekianjo pointed out, this application is best paired with Comix to read the downloaded Mangas.

Note that it works on Fat32 SDCard, but you may have some error/warning about right (I think I have removed all of them, but I may have missed a few).

Storage space for one thing, 800x480 not being a good resolution for reading comics being the other :p

Using Comix is great at 800*480. Very much an enjoyable experience.

I will take a look. In the mean time, what are the folder problems you are facing?

Hi ptitSeb, I know that you are a busy man.. porting all those great things, but could you update HakuNeko when you find the time. It may not be necessary, but there is always a pop up that there is a newer version :D

Ok, it's updated. I have done virtually no test, but it seems I have an error message to some permission settings that fail (I'm on Fat32). I may look at that later.

    Build 04

    • Update to latest sources

Ok, I should have fixed the error message. It's always the same issue with wxWidget, so I upgraded and hacked it (same hack from 2012, see the codeblocks thread for more info).

    Build 05

    ----------

    • Update to wxWidget 3.0.2
    • Fixed error message (with new build of wxWidget)

Reads like it ran out of memory when trying to instantiate a class. Check your 'top'; has something eaten your ram? As is usual in software testing, if in doubt, reboot and try again from fresh.

Nothing else eating ram. It gets to about 40% usage then crashes.

I think it is a memory leak. Adding a 1GB swap file allows it to run longer, but it starts eating swap after 80% usage and then crashes again eventually.

I'll see if I can bring an update to this old package (but with no guaranties it will work better).
