I know most of you didn't even really use that case, the one that came stock with the Value Pack. Personally I'm pretty partial to mine. I've used it from day one, and understandably it's starting to get a bit dirty. I want to wash it but am a bit worried what might happen to it. So was just wondering if anyone else has washed theirs? I dont' want to have to pop $15 for another one because I ruined it in the wash.....

they are good for customizing. I added a loop at the top of mine to attach a wrist/neck strap, as I didn't really like using the one on the PSP itself... too afraid that bit of 'rope' might break.

I'm going to add a small elastic pocket on the rear side of the case, most likely to just fit the head phones but maybe a UMD or two.

My wrist strap attached to the PSP comes out through the zip for carrying purposes.

I didn't do anything fancy with mine, but I am pretty fond of it because it's small but still good protection.

As for washing... I don't know. I'd be worried the PSP logo on it would get all messed up if you put it in a washer.

I like it because it means I can fit the PSP in my pocket.

I hate carrying things in bags and in the open.

I might BASTardize it though and put a pouch on it for some other stuff. :D

BASTardize :D

anyway, the soft case seemed to scratch up my screen!

I had considered doing a zipper as well... my wife is really ace with a sewing machine, has made all kinds of custom stuff for me... but with the tight fit of the PSP soft case I didn't think I'd be able to close it all the way to zip it.

So yeah, in other words, I'd like to see a pic too :)

You must be REALLY careful taking your system in and out of the thing now though eh? Don't want the zipper touching that beautiful screen :D

This is one thing that suprises me, the PSP screen is much more resistant against scratches as other screens (GBA, DS,...)

that's YOUR oppinion!

and by the way the DS touch screen is far more scratch resistant that ANY other handhelds screen :p but I guess by nature of being a touch screen maybe it doesn't count :D

I`m not treating my psp that carfully, but it still has no scratches on the screen, nor anything else.

Yours has or what :p

my soft case is MIA no clue where i put it and the only thing i have trouble with is the finger prints all over it, not the screen but the buttons and stuff, hard to get into those little creases with the cloth.

yeah in my experience it's not TOO hard to put the fine, very hard to see hairline scratches on the PSP's screen.

Well for one, of three PSP's I've bought, all three have come out of the box new with quite a few hairline scratches on the screens to begin with. They are usually fine enough that about the only time you see them is out in the sun... which ends up working out great seeing as you can't play the damn thing under the sun anyways.

Even though I am EXTREMELY careful with my PSP... it's always in the case when I'm not playing it, and I take care even removing and puttting it back in the case. I only clean it with a soft silk cleaning cloth and special spray both designed for cleaning eyeglasses. And yet, I have noticed an extra scratch pop up here or there... again, usually so fine that you can only see them at odd angles in very bright light. Just be careful when you're wiping dust off the screen as that's where they come from.

Ahhhh that is ingenious! I'll have to get my wife right on this :D

I couldn't picture it before but I forgot that when you buy zippers at like a fabric or crafts store it has quite a bit of extra material, the fabric that the actual zipper is attached to... it's like 1" wide. So plenty enough that you wouldn't have to really stretch the PSP case tight to close it.

That is really ingenious Kop I can't wait to have this on my own case!

Yeah, exactly, the fabric that comes with the zip is sown onto the inside of the pouch as to eliminate the need for stretching - exactly as you said.

Hope it works out for you.
