Gp2psx V0.10

Oboy oboy! zodttd, you are greate! Cant wait to get started testing my old favourites for the PSX! If there will be a donation for you I will be in it forsure! Keep up the good work!

But maby we should be a bit quiet about this, a sertain s-o-n-y may be listening... *wooggi wooggi*

results for the below games are the same in either emu mode

gradius gaiden now corrupts on the weapons select screen and cannot go ingame anymore, although it ran upto this point a little quicker than it did before.

need for speed runs at the same rate as before and crashes just before you get ingame.

silhouette mirage runs through the FMV at a slowish rate 2-3 fps but that is better than last release, although just before it goes ingame it crashes.

Still, great to see quick updates on this emu. Thanks Zodttd!

I was under the impression emulation was legal if you own an original copy and delete the ROM within 24 hours. As a result of thinking this, I also thought the actual emulator itself was completely legal.

I may be wrong, but it seems that zodttd is doing nothing wrong even in the eyes of the law.

All the FF games (maybe except tactics, I don't know) tend to do weird stuff to the framebuffer when entering battles (typically resulted in a drop to about a quarter of the speed it should have been running at, regardless of frameskippage, on a computer at 2 GHz with a GeForce 5200). Could that be causing the problems on entering a battle in FF7?

It does the spin, but no fancy spin colours.

I think its the actual battle models or something, it does the spin then screen goes black :/

That spin just looks like screen corruption haha. How long did the spin take? Was there a slowdown?

yes.. awesome release!!! Most 3D games work now.
Awesome work zodttd!!!

Uploading now..... 2x 15mb Xvid, I apologise for the blurryness in advance....

By the way, HLE doesn't make any difference. And use the Bin/Cue, not PocketISO as it doesn't work. (Havn't tested out just ISO yet though)

I'd gladly murder someone to get Bushido Blade II running.

Anyone in particular you had in mind, zodttd?

How can we help fund this project?
I dont think I can contribute in any other way except send a little bit of money? GPH should be giving you a freakin jewel encrusted GP2X for this and the GP2X shops should be sending you the longest serial lead/biggest carry case/most reliable SD cards they have in stock!

Good work fella!

Yeah, 30 meters, goddamn! (And the source code please. I think the best help is help with code, not with money... not only atleast ^_^

I'd also be interested in looking at the code if you can get around to releasing it. But please dont go out of your way. (personally, when I release code, I spend a few hours just making the code look nice.) Others may call that refactoring. And I dont wish such a cruel fate for you.

I'll donate soon. When I'm happy to enjoy using it. But it would interest me to know when your gp2x had been paid off by donations alone.

tekken3? wow. I gotta see this.

so um, newby question:
how the goddam do I get a copy of my original ps1 games off the black CD (which is not readable in a normal CD-Rom drive. apparently) and onto my PC?

or is this a touchy (ie illegal) subject?

Vin

Has anyone had the chance to try out Diablo 1? Would be interesting to know how well it runs, if it runs.

a normal CD drive can read PSX discs, theres nothing special about them other than the dye colour... which is actually a really dark blue, not black...

any software that rips to .iso or .bin/.cue will do :) cdrwin, record now max, iso buster... nero?
