Gnostic or smoku if they were willing to do more on amiga emulation.
it's not about who's curious about what, it's about what each one of us considers the most beneficial for the platform in the long run, among the projects listed. from my perspective, an optimised version of qemu could be very useful to have on the platform, as it'd allow for bringing more utilities/development tools over from PC land. otherwise i'd be among the first to cheer to some DC goodness on my pandora (once i have all ingradients in my hands, that is).Bosbeetle said:So next to me there is nobody curious what the good doctor is up to?

darkblu said:JayFoxRox, while i do agree with some of your points, i still think offering as functional as possible a pandora unit to developers doing things of potentially long-term significance for the paltform would pay back. it surely does not have to be in a box and gift-wrapped, but having all components working, down to actual controls, could make a difference, be that soleley in motivation. also, the less time a developer has to spend bringing the device up to a usable state for their project, the more they can spend on actual development. in this regard a fully-functional pandora can be a higher availability development platform than some motherboard strapped to some desktop equipment at somebody's workplace.
re the high-importance parts of the platform that need attention, like kernel, services and drivers - those are surely viable candidates for hw donation initiatives, but we need people to step up there. do you have somebody in mind?
Thanks for the final push. I think that's what I'm going to do. Apologies to anyone that doesn't like this decision, as I'm sure there will be. I just hope that you can understand that to me it makes sense to go to Cameleon and I really do hope that this means we get a little more new and neat stuff into our community.Gruso said:Imagine the flood of applications! Might be a bit much to sift through.
Cameleon brings some interesting possibilities to the table. In late with no votes and no hardware on order, Aussies love an underdog. Don't let accusations of favouritism bother you if it comes down to it Poke, it's your decision at the end of the day.

GET TO WORK CAMELEON.
Jokes. Good luck with the job interview!
