    Tv Out

I can't wait for TV out functionality. Of course I have a better setup at MY house (a PC hooked up directly to my home theatre), but the whole point of this is that it is PORTABLE. :) (Else why get a Gamepark at all? You can do EVERYTHING better on your PC) It is going to be pretty sweet to...

    The Ur-quan Masters

I have mine working fine with voices... create a 'packages' folder in the game's content folder, and copy uqm-0.4.0-content.uqm and uqm-0.4.0-voice.uqm in there. Then, open the content uqm in any ZIP program, and extract the 36 byte 'version' file into your content dir.

    Gp2x Without The Gp32 Shit?

You could get quite a fair range of Xvid/DivX formats and settings working with the GP32.. the limit here was simply lack of horsepower (not to mention storage capacity) for full video playback. Not really what I would call a "problem".. that's just the specs... it was never intended as a video...

    Current Gp2x Emulation Status

Er, appreciate the effort, but aren't you going to wind up with a bunch of rectangles that nobody can tell what is beneath? Maybe make it semi-transparent, or a border around each device, or just use a small icon, or something else? :)

    Gp2psx V0.16

Wow sweet... I was literally in the process of copying Final Fantasy Tactics to my SD to check out your PSX emu, when I wandered in here and saw this post! Will let you know how it fares. Many thanks!

    4gb Sd Cards

Most storage manufacturers (hard drives, etc) define their capacities as powers of 10. It's just a marketing trick to let them claim a big number while actually offering a bit less. I bet most "1GB" cards are really a million KB, or a billion bytes or something. Of course, they are...

    Gp2x Terminal Emulator Released

help | more You can also use help | less, this should let you scroll both ways. Thanks for this jochang... I've been writing shell scripts to dump dir listings to check out the filesystem. :) And yes they seem to have left in an awful lot of networking stuff and other crap.

GP2X Should Developers Follow Common Design Guidelines

Another big problem I have with GPH's "conventions" is the use of the Right and Left shoulder buttons as Next/Previous Track buttons. They're too easy to hit accidentally when picking up the unit, thus losing your spot in the current movie or song. GPCinema used the shoulder buttons for Fast...

    Psx Running On The Gp2x

You should've used "Linux" in the title of your submission somewhere... ie "New Linux-based handheld already emulating PSX and more" or something. :)

    Duke2x Woes ...

I don't get to the main menu, nothing seems to load. I've tried various buttons after waiting a while, but it just stays a black screen.

    Duke2x Woes ...

Copied duke3d.gpe, plus duke3d.cfg, duke3d.grp, defs.con, game.con, and user.con from the Atomic Edition to /Games/Duke3D. Edited the config file for the sound settings (FXDevice=0,MixRate=1600). All I get is a black screen. I've tried setting ScreenWidth/ScreenHeight in the cfg to 320/240...

    Psu Requirements

Here is the model I was looking at: http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Product....product=2738400 However, it says it has "correct polarity (centre, positive)", so I guess that's bad.

    Psu Requirements

I went into a Radio Shack today (or rather, "The Source" as they're now called in Canada) to pick up a universal power adapter. I found a universal "Digital Camera" adapter that can output 3.3V, at up to 2100 mA. When I asked a salesperson if that would do the trick, he cautioned me that game...

    GP2X .gpu = Shell Script

I like vim myself... but for Windows, I'd like to second jlebrech that Notepad++ is pretty sweet: http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net

    Gp2x Build Quality

I think it's perfect, with the exception of the joystick... it is a tad too firm for games which require rapid and dextrous joystick movement, and far too easy to do an upper diagonal when you are clearly pushing almost perfectly straight left or right. Don't really know why people are...

    Tv Cable?

Lik-Sang is accepting preorders for TV-Out cable but says they won't be in stock until Q1 2006: http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...2fb05f5ebb692d1 I wonder if GBAX are still anticipating getting them sooner? I was hoping to grab one before the holidays.

    Ps1 Emulation Capacity

It can certainly do 3D graphics, for example Quake runs quite well. It's just not hardware accelerated, so the processor has to do all the number crunching itself.

    Snes9x Setup

    1) Do you have firmware 1.01? 2) Are you SURE you installed the SDL libs? You have to install them from the root of your SD card, and it should take a good 5 seconds or so if it works. I didn't realize this at first and tried installing them from a sub-directory, it doesn't work. (But you get...

    How Gbax.com Orders Are Going??

Ordered on Sept 24th, received an email Tuesday (Nov 22) morning requesting my phone number for UPS, this delayed my order by a day or two. Have now received shipping confirmation email, and am expecting delivery (UPS Express) on Monday Nov 28th. :D

    Best/notable C64 Games?

Impossible Mission was very hard to actually complete, I've only ever done it once. Of course it should be much easier with emu save states... Basically, you have to: 1) Collect every puzzle piece from all the rooms. 2) Then you have to assemble the puzzle pieces into complete puzzles, using 4...
