The Caring Corner :)

Earlier I was cleaning some mini cucumbers before eating them.

Peony: It looks like you're rubbing a penis. :D
Me: Well at least I'm doing it properly. :p

I am now in fear of my life.

It looks like I'm back in someone's good books.

Peony has deigned to tenderise me. What this involves is her massaging me before laying on/against me because it apparently makes me feel more comfortable for her.

That's why I thought I'd better add an explanation. Peony likes to use her own terms for things, e.g. she calls boobs, wobblers.
So when she says “give your head a wobble”...?

It sucks that Wally won’t let me post my symptoms in here anymore. I can’t even say why.
Would a compromise not be to start a separate symptom tracker thread for anyone of a similar disposition?

Nah, I’m pretty sure when Wally used the word forum, he meant the entire forum.

Anyway, I see my “GP” in less than thirty-six hours for my annual wellness visit, required by my insurance, I think. I’m gonna see if I can get them to test my thyroid function. It’s a simple blood test, so hopefully it’s covered. It’s rare for guys my age to have thyroid problems, but apparently atypical antipsychotics like both the Invega and Rexulti I take can cause it.

Yeah, a comprehensive blood test tests for thyroid function. Not that I've had one of them since moving to the sticks. In the big city I only had two and they were both comprehensive, here I've had three and they were simple count the red blood cells you can see in your microscope type tests.

Blood test dosnt sound much pleasure full, when I had this thick foot 3 week after my incident, they looked for thrombosis in my blood, it wasn’t that bad luckily, but I got a butterfly port in the arm this day which wasn’t that pleasant.. the 2 syringes whit the corona vaccination where no big issue, I ditnt even feel the needle much, but when you see your arm whit such a thing stick out and your blood in the transparent hose bevor the valve..

I don't know without looking what a butterfly port is, but it sounds like a significant intervention. Blood tests are done using a normal sized hypodermic needle and the only slightly awkward thing is that for a comprehensive test at least, the needle is on a short length of hose which connects it to a port. The nurse plugs on different glass canisters, which presumably get sent to different places to get all of the results, the same kind of process as they do when you start to donate blood in this country, just they stop before they get to to fill up the big bag if you're only getting tested today.

Wally told me not to post symptoms here, but I'm worried. I hit 96.2 yesterday, which is why I was worried about hypothyroidism again, but I hit the 98 range just now, which is freaking me out because it doesn't happen that often these days. I just realized COVID-19 takes up to six days to present, and my beach vacation only ended two days ago, meaning I'm not clear from a possible case of that yet. In particular, I'm thinking about a restaurant I ate at on Friday without social distancing.

I'll let you know if my temperature climbs over 100, if Wally doesn't delete me first.

I don’t know if it’s a butterfly port, but maybe it’s called valve port.. my medical background was only from Dr. Mario..
if I remember correctly, thy wanted also to make a CT , but after also the chief md looked on my leg venes whit a ultra sound device thy took it out ,
I got a pressure bandage on the foot and it got better..
they took quite a lot of blood this day, even some from my ear blood..

Edit: it was the exact same Port you write..

Edit2 : 100 degrees body temperature is way too much, at least if you live in Germany

My dream where that whe use one measure system on international boards,
The other dream as I watched walking dead where Conny was using the Americans sign language, that whe would have one sign language for the whole world, and you could have a evening shool course where you could learn it also if you aren’t deaf
This way you could communicate with everyone

I looked it up, and six is just the average number of days symptoms take to appear. I’m not actually clear for like eleven days. That said, my temperature is back down to my personal average of 97.3 degrees, so now I’m just confused, and I’m thinking maybe I should check it less often.
