Just to let you know: Chui has released his latest uae4all for the dreamcast now. I've done most of the merging, but need sleep, so expect a release tomorrow.

Doesn't seem broken to me. Please explain what you're trying to do (precisely).B4N5H33 posted on Mar 13 2006 at 04:06 PM said:great news, critical. i´ll give it a try now! thanks for your work on that emu
EDIT: keyboard input seems to be broken
EDIT: sorry - I misread that. I'll look into it. It's not because of writing the gpe over the 0.4.5 one, anyway. Which crack version of IK+ do you have?B4N5H33 posted on Mar 13 2006 at 04:47 PM said:okay...on my version of IK+ you need to type 2 and press enter to start the game. when i try to do that (by selecting the 2 and pressing the b-button) the screen flashes and no "2" appears. same with the Y,A,X-buttons (can´t remember what button to press to simulate a keypress on the keyboard). i can select any character on the virtual keyboard but they don´t appear on the screen perhaps it´s because i´ve copied the 0.5 version over my 0.45 (overwriting existing files)..?
Your English is great - don't worry about that. I've got a Spanish class later this evening - my Spanish is very poor at the moment.B4N5H33 posted on Mar 13 2006 at 05:00 PM said:found the problem: it seems that the B-button presses a key on the keyboard AND makes a "left mouse button click".
i discovered it this way: the mouse cursor is in the upper left corner when i start IK+ (the menu where you can select the games - a amiga workbench screen). when i try to press any button on keyboard, the border of the screen (where the mouse cursor points at) flashes. but when i select "mouse" and move the cursor away from the upper left (or the border in general) and change to keyboard input, it works...weird
hope you understand my (not so good) english
EDIT: i´ve tried the all 3 versions i have (cr by: WOW, SlimeByte, OCL). but that doesn´t seem to be a game-specific problem.
btw: the "SuperThrottle" mode is awesome! it speeds up loadingtimes a lot! thanks again!
Thank Chui... he's obviously put a lot of effort into the changes for his rc-1 release. I only spent about 5 hours merging them inBenScar posted on Mar 13 2006 at 05:56 PM said:Critical, you are great
JoEs works a treat, it's not perfect, but wow it's good to see it running!
I'm off to sit in a dark room and watch one of the best demos I've seen emu'ed on one of the best bits of hardware I've played with
(Can demos be added to the Wiki?)
I thank you Critical

--------------------------
I've spent quite a few hours merging Chui's changes for his rc-1 of the dreamcast release into my altered codebase. The result is something that implements much of the new functionality, but not all of it yet. I feel it's ready to release for testing, however.
Get it here:
http://www.vividvillage.com/uae4all_gp2x_0.5.0.zip
New things (all Chui and fox68k's work, just adapted for the GP2X):
SuperThrottle - Hold down the right trigger first, then whilst still holding it, hold down the left trigger too. This will disable sound and set frameskip to 10 to speed things up. This trys to speed up intros and general loading time.
DF1 support - To insert a disk in DF1 instead of DF0, use the X button rather than the B one. You can eject DF1 with the 'Eject DF1' menu option. Tested with Lemmings.
Compatibility - Now runs the Three Stooges, for example.
Faster - seems faster to me, and handles sound better.
Menu shortcuts - L brings up the load dialog, R runs, Y ejects DF1.
I'll fix up the things that I broke doing the merge whenever I get time (Faked sound doesn't fake anything, zipped file support doesn't work at the moment).

Ah - that's always been like that. I'm putting together a minor revision at the moment, which will include a fix for that.B4N5H33 posted on Mar 13 2006 at 07:21 PM said:cool! thanks for fixing this, critical. IK+ & Wings of Fury run both very good @275MHz with sound that´s one reason i´ve bought a GP2X
found another small bug: when in joystick mode and the keyboard is up, you can change the input mode (to mouse for example) and the keybord is still showed on the screen. nothing that makes games unplayable, but you need to go back to joystick mode to hide the keyboard again.
