Hi,

I've added Chui's FAME C core and a few other things (the MMU hack from squidge, for example).

It performs so much better, and the sound quality is great. Chui Chui Rocket! ;)

The file has been uploaded to the file archive here, but it must wait for approval. You can get it and try it out at http://www.vividvillage.com/. The new version is 0.6.0.

Chui put a lot of work into this, and I hope people will enjoy the fruit of his labours. He has a paypal link in his signature block, and at the top of his website here: http://chui.dcemu.co.uk/index.html

THANKS CHUI

Done. 10 Euros.

My only request is to make a new thread, this is really big news. This is the biggest news for me since outcast. (probably bigger still)

Great release but.. every time I try to overclock using the UAE4All menu, I get grey vertical lines and the screen fades to white. Sort of like batteries dying, but these are fresh ones. Weird. Any idea what's going on?

Donation sent to Chui (already sent ones to critical and GnoSTic) -- thanks to all you uae-on-GP2X blokes!

How does this compare to the Gnostic emu? Is it faster, slower, the same?

Yes I too get the same. I am running firmware 2.1.0 and using gmenu2x as my launcher. My unit will usually overclock to 260Mhz and yet and overclock does as described above.

I tried Elite and it seemed to work very nicely. Probably not a good game to try on a handheld though. I'll check out some more games shortly.

I get the same overclocking problem but I just overclocked from gmenu2x instead.
This works surprisingly well. I played a couple of levels of superfrog last night with sound. Very playable. I suppose it would work a lot better with sound disabled.
The only thing missing now is savestates (which to my understanding are difficult to impliment because of the amigas complexity compared to megadrive or snes)

I have overclocked from GMENU2X and i don´t have that problem.
It can be because the emu inside set the clock to 200 ?
But if you launch the emu with memory tweak, the OC remains at 266 or is set to 200 too?

I fixed the overclock crash thing (and added a 240MHz option), and stopped the input mode indicators flickering. It's version 0.6.1, from the same place as before.

I think my host's died.

Luckily, Google seems to have a better bandwidth allocation, so get it here:

:( Hope it wasnt from me clicking (impatiently) repeatedly

EDIT:
Just replaced files, still flickers? and bar-crashes on overclock??

At least this version AS IS plays the Dionysus Puggs in space demo flawlessly :D :D :D classic demo ;)

EDIT: Apart from the fact the emulator seems to be stuck in NTSC mode? any text file or anything we can make/edit to get PAL? so we dont get the bottom chopped off etc...

I cant wait to try this, all my batteries are flat from yesterdays gaming, so cant try for an hour, hopes I can play Dune2 with speed..

Thanks to all involved in this latest release.

Which version firmware are you using? I've stayed with 2.0 for now.

The flickering is still there for the virtual keyboard at present - I didn't claim to have fixed that yet :p
