I'm not criticizing the effort behind it, making games is hard. But if we were just giving all games 10/10 just because making games is hard in the first place, well there would be no way to say that some games are better than others.
Homebrew games have personality and are what keep the scene exciting - clearly not everyone shares this idea, but those who do, love them and get what it's all about They're also what stands the test of time once a platform is obsolete and people play their ports and emulators on something else. Look at the recent Ginge thread, people still remember and want to play original GP2X games from way back. Cheers.
