The Definitive List of Pandora Games (native games and ports)

OK. I've updated the thread. Fixed the grammatical / information errors that people mentioned, and added all the games people said were missing (except OpenDune... I'll get there). We still have a lot of games to go, but I'm guessing we're at about 10% right now! 89 games ATM.

I've released a number of games on the Pandora - many are on the repo (via my name or Mike Green/MikeDX), but some were only posted as links to the forum. These include -

DinoDefense -
PixeLink Halloween
PictoCross
Guru Logic Champs
Advent Calendar
Another Christmas puzzle game, which I can't remember

Most of these are either advanced WIPs or completed, but not upto my own personal standards - hence not on Repo.

I'll let the OP finds the links to those, as without them it's not a definitive list of Pandora games :) :p

BTW Hallowian (not on the list) is no longer available on the Repo now due to a license permission change - use of a music track was granted for one year.

About Dune Dynasty, I could point to another fact, it's strange to see scores and review of the classic Dune 2 associated to it (maybe them could go nice with OpenDune), because Dune Dynasty is so much improved/different from the original, that it could be almost be categorized as another game, in fact it is more similar to Red Alert than Dune 2 in terms of gameplay.

EDIT: you can find a screenshot and a better description here http://dunedynasty.sourceforge.net/

The repository link for Opentyrian says OpenTTD in the text, but openTDD is an entirely different game.

I used to have a native port of Angry birds but can't seem to find it anymore... Does anyone know where I can still find it?
I know it was pulled for legality reasons, I used to have it on an old SD card, but it got corrupted... maybe by Karma.

Ah yes. I still have that kicking around... bit of a mystery who ported it. If it was an official leak? etc.

The more you add games, more i think this list is best served in some "web" format and possibly integrated with the repo. This will be very cool

I wouldn't mind fleshing out the wiki a bit more, but this thread is my current priority.

Just listing it up is boring.
It only makes sense if you actually tested them all.
How about making videos like the "angry video game nerd" does for each?
Could be funny.
And of course write your own resume.

You can also rewrite from scratch all the games and explain how they were made :D

Just a few minor corrections regarding the games I have a hand in:

CrapShoot is an original creation and not a port. (It is also crap. very crap and deliberately so.)
PirateBaby is also not a port.(But I should make an effort to actually finish it at some point...)
PandoraPanic! is definitely not a port. It was created for the Pandora!

When you want Videos for your List..just write me a PM with the Games
and i make new Videos with your Whishes then until i have little Time.;)

Hase is a decent game but suffers from many playability issues. I'm not criticizing the effort behind it, making games is hard. But if we were just giving all games 10/10 just because making games is hard in the first place, well there would be no way to say that some games are better than others.
Does it? When did you play the last time? Did I overlook your critics in one of the plenty Hase threads, so I can improve it?

For your interest, @blimpsgo180: http://hase.gp2x.de + Repo.

Homebrew games have personality and are what keep the scene exciting - clearly not everyone shares this idea, but those who do, love them and get what it's all about :) They're also what stands the test of time once a platform is obsolete and people play their ports and emulators on something else. Look at the recent Ginge thread, people still remember and want to play original GP2X games from way back. Cheers.

Hello friends.

The OCD side of me is kicking in and I'm thinking about what to do with this list. I thought it would be nice to add to the Pandora Wiki. I see there's already a games page on the wiki here, but it's labelled for deletion. I thought it would be nice if each game had it's own page, with things like screenshots and YouTube videos.

For one thing, I need to learn how to use MediaWiki.

Shall I go ahead? Why is the Games page labelled for deletion?

@blimpsgo180 - Most likely it's marked for deletion as it hasn't been updated in ages, I mean if you want to go through the effort have at it, but it seems people lose interest after a while. The repo provides a lot of information despite the lack of youtube videos support.
