The Communication Cube

2Years bevor my Car Driving licence i made this 125 ccm Driving License for my Way to Shool and Later Trainee, i was quite Lightweight back then, about 50 kg whit 16 Years ..
Bike Training was cool, i had 2 Bikes on Drive Shool until the Exam, one was a KTM Duke 125, then this got some mechanical Issues, the other was a strange Chinese Bike..
Later i got me an Motorscooter, first an Cheap one where no Speed Limiter was available (Back then you where only allowed to drive 80 kmh on an 125 ccm under 18) then an nice Yamaha Teos in Blue, i had for about 20 Years , whit its big Licence Blade i came never in an Police Stop, as i was allowed to drive that fast it could go .., whyle these 50 ccm Scooters where only allowed to drive 45 kmh..

Reporters mysteriously disappear all the time in China and Russia.

The whole point of these regimes is they have dictators for life. That's it there is nothing more. Both have let hundreds of millions of their own people die - in recent memory. They brainwash their people so they don't revolt, which is the natural and logical thing to do.
I should have used more words. I am not so sure any more about the unfettered freedom of speech in the west. Granted we don't have the situation you mentioned above. But there's many attempts at curbing free speech.
"Diejenigen, die den Staat verhöhnen, müssen es mit einem starken Staat zu tun bekommen"

Nevermind the efforts made in banning a certain German party.
Nevermind peoples' homes being raided for calling a politician "1 Pimmel".
Nevermind the German BKA investigating a German living in the US who called Ricarda Lang fat on Facebook. I'm sure her doctor tells her the same without fear of being sued.

*sings* it's a mad world

@matzesu it's awesome that kids today can ride their 125s unrestricted. I hated going 80-90 because every darn car just *had* to overtake you.

There's a scooter shop which started a EU petition to increase allowed top speed for 50 cc bikes to 60 or 65 kmh - like the old Simson bikes. Not sure how that is going though.

“I did have a test today. That wasn't bullshit. It's on European socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European, so who gives a crap if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists - that still wouldn't change the fact that I don't own a car.”

It's that time of year again.

Next to the Frore mems cooler we now also have the even smaller micro-cooler. It's a tiny chip which can be used as a fan in mobile devices.

I have no clue in fluid physics or thermodynamics but if it's so small, the volume of air in an out will also be small, I guess it tries to compensate by accelerating it really fast, but still.
Can it really cool better than a metal heat spreader ? In the picture the device is open, and it sucks free air from above,
but in a closed device, there is not much volume of fresh air to suck, and the outgoing heat air has not much place to go to.

Or should one attach a metal heat spreader to the SoC and put this gadget at the other end, at the edge of the device, with good access to outside air?
Or put it above the SoC but apply some air ducts to conduct the air in an out of the device ?

Just wondering ...

The Frore airjet is decribed to remove warm air on top of the chip which regular fans need to move more air for to achieve:
"The internal piezoelectric membrane vibrates at 24 kHz, and pulls air in from the top of the device, disrupting the "boundary layer" of hot air above the chip being cooled underneath it, before firing it out of a thin vent at one end. This mechanism is said to be key to the AirJets efficiency in such a small device, compared to a similarly-sized conventional fan"

Bunch of mumbling tea drinkers this lot.
Not saying they don't have their charm.
They have a few interesting takes.
