Not so sure about that one any more.

Got to ride a Honda Hornet 750 today. My mechanic more or less made me. Oh well, he's gotta sell those things I guess.
Not a fan of the looks, but that's just old me. Modern bikes get lamp masks that look like insects, aliens or Transformers. I'd rather have a simple round headlight in a chrome housing. Rest looks fine, sporty I guess. Waist is slim, so in addition to the moderate seat height it's easy to reach the ground. Weight feels low between the legs, the wide handle bar complements this nicely, you get good leverage. Feels like a bicycle compared to my FZS.
Engine was a first for me - the biggest 2-cylinder I'd ridden before was a 125 cc V-twin. Only had 4-in-lines since. I was expecting this twin to be much better than the FZS in low revs, but it is actually worse.
It's like

off-on, very unusual if you're used to smooth progression from the get-go and added livelihood at 7k rpm. The Hornet feels like it has all of its torque right at 5000 rpm and only fades at over 9k. I quickly found myself speeding with this bike. Quite intoxicating in its own way.
While the sound is very nice, it's so loud that wherever you go people look at you. I hate that. Compared to that a 4-in-line - on low revs it's socially 100% acceptable, you can ride around at night and won't wake anyone. Well, as long as you don't fit an aftermarket exhaust. If I could, I'd do the opposite of so many bikers - fit an even quieter pipe ^^
Nah, I feel like a hooligan terrorist with the Hornet.
Any of you guys ride a motorbike?
