Congrats on the progress!
Because Pyra is a goddess. As well as goodness.![]()
@Kippykip really a GPD Win? Seems like according to the Meme, your into superficial girls that with toxic personalities (Windows).
Well I have the original GPD-Win but as far as I can tell, the Win 2 isn't much more powerful CPU+GFX wise which is all I cared for. I'm still happy with the Win 1 (other than the BSODsEvery few weeks I open up the GPD win store page with an intent to buy, but the feeling never lasts. Its just such an uninspiring device, IMO.
Plus, it'll be a cold day in hell before I spend another dime on a device that puts windows support ahead of linux, especially one thats built to be ultramobile. Twice bitten thrice shy.
Meh
Damn it, I misspelled garbage![]()

why haven't i seen any tripod robots inspired by the war of the worlds?
With a glossy screen.GPD WIN 2 is still a glued together disposable computer where the support ends when the WIN 3 comes out in 18 months.
Maybe not misspelled. As well as goodness.![]()
To be fair, that isn't by choice - there are no open-source options for it, and ED has stated he would prefer that if it were at all possible... but it isn't.You say Pyra is OPEN SOURCE, but the really is that we have a SOC with proprietary binaries, and even with CLOSED and PROPRIETARY GPU driver (PowerVR GPU). So, no, it is not as OPEN as you stated.
I will admit my interest has died down a bit, but I'm stILL gonna continue with the Pyra primarily as a Phone and for PS1 games
I'm currently happy with a Blackberry Q10 as of now (even if it's dated), I can't go back to a touchscreen only phoneCheck Librem 5, It will be pain in the ass to use Pyra as primary phone.
My plan is to get Librem 5 and WiFi only version of Pyra, especially if the next CPU board is equipped with i.MX8M QuadLite (the same SoC as the one used in Librem 5).
GPD Win 2 is nice and powerful but it will lack the battery life even with his huge battery.
Also I am pretty sure that the Pyra will be superior in terms of craftsmanship, build quality, and ruggedness.
