Should I have received my final order eMail already?

HA HA HA!!! The clear cases which were prototypes that needed a bit of work are long gone. Of course I'd happily eat my words if some cases of the new production happen to be clear.
Those were not used because it's the "coloring" part that makes the plastic more solid, and also a clear case don't distribute well the LED light in the right directions.

On January 25 you were at invoice number 010627, my invoice number is 011027. That's 400 invoices in between and it's been >3 months since then.

@ClockworkCoder when are you going to open source cgi-bin/checkpyra?

Quick update:
I fully recovered from Covid-19 now (I recovered quite fast - except that my sleep time increased from 5 - 6 hours to 9 - 10 hours, but that's now back to normal as well).

I also hired two more guys who help with the assembly of other items in the shop (Retrodes, SNES / MD games, etc.) so I finally have a lot more time again to work on everything else including Pyras in the shop.

The room is now finally fully setup (all shelves are setup and parts are sorted), so I wil continue Pyra assembly. These are still the remaining old cases, but I'd love to move on as fast as possible.
Any update on progress? I'm an Indiegogo backer of a Planet Computers Astro Slide as well so really working hard on my patience! From that last update I think the Pyra is going to arrive first (hopefully  )

My guess would be that you'll be getting your Astro Slide first. I backed a Gemini back then thinking it would be a close race between the release dates, which turned out it wasn't \o/. Never the less I sold my Gemini due to several Issues (Bad Keyboard, no PD charging, no proper Linux drivers, bad battery runtime, no DP alternate mode etc. ) and I am still waiting for my Pyra to be produced. I hope it'll be a lot more thought trough than the Gemini was and a lot more flexible, too. I was used to the flexibility of a Jornada 720 xD, which my Gemini did not deliver :'(.

I'm not sure which will be first, I'm pretty near the front of the Pyra queue but was a late backer of the Astro Slide after the charging board on my Cosmo Communicator overheated and melted! The Cosmo was almost right for me, I was looking for a replacement for my old Nokia E90 but the external screen on the Cosmo wasn't as well integrated as the Nokia one and, although the keyboard was physically excellent, mine had the ghosting problem where keys registered two presses sometimes and none occassionally which made typing frustrating. I loved the Pandora but my nubs were never good and the screen ribbon cable is going now so I've got the purple tint issue.

Might me a bit offtopic, but my guess would be that those LCD Cables could be replaced by a flexpcb if EvilDragon does not have spares anymore. A shop here in Germany called Fischer PCB has an online calculator and according to them a flex the size 100x80mm and a quantity of 30pc would be 25€ each. For quantities sub 10pcs it is way more expensive per piece, sadly. The pcb has a thickness of 0,13mm. I'm not sure if it fits the connectors of the pandora, but that might me a small scale replacement option if enough people gather for a group buy and someone is willing to design the cable, which should not be too hard.

What order number / date are we up to now? Does anyone know? The first post hasn't been updated since January, but I know there has been activity since then.

I think a lot of time has been taken up setting up the new building, and otherwise maintaining the shop;s other saleables. I'd be surprised if none had been completed (although we saw lots of partial builds in the last video so maybe that's what they've been spending their pyra time on for the past few months.

Hi guys,
I can no longer get in touch with ED about my Pyra, ordered on 04/12/2020 (Discord, Dragonbox shop)
My invoice number is 032692 !!!
When will I receive my Pyra, please, ED ??? :(

According to the OP, he's only working on units ordered within four days of the preorderers opening, admittedly when the vast majority of the preorders came in, but that's still 2016. If you only preorderd in 2020 then I'd suggest you carefully repack your powder keg and put it back.

I ordered mine early March 2020 and have set my expectations to it turning up some time next year.
Our order number is likely >1000, ( I ordered in 2019). With development of new CPU/GPU on horizon, my guess is it will take more time.
2 months.

Ed doesn't have that much involvement in bringing a new CPU board up. He pays a guy to make the board for him, and that guy and others try to make linux boot on it. He does post a fair bit to the kernel mailing list, when they're outstanding tasks that aren't allocated, or occasionally to hurry up people if all has gone quiet, and then he's good at testing things out when they're half ready. I guess he mails people privately for that a lot too. But if he's anything like me, he can do that when he's not got screwdrivers in hand and doing up screws. It uses a different part of the brain, and as my gran used to say, a change is as good as a rest.

I understand that none of the preorders will get the new cpu board. There will be new cpu boards when ED delivers all the omap5 he already has. And even with that I expect a gap in time where there won't be available omap5 boards and the new board won't finished.

Just look how long it took to complete the omap5 board.
