Hey everyone, I'm gonna start testing out some games pretty soon and I'll post my results. Gotta study for finals too so after monday I'll have a lot more results :)

Oh and thanks a lot for the opportunity to beta test zottd. Hopefully i can help out with beta test 2 as well ;)

FF7

OC - 266
INTERLACE = 0
PROGRESSIVE = OFF

IN GAME:
VSYNC = 21
FRAMERATE = 10

BATTLE SCENES:
VSYNC = 18
FRAMERATE = 16

TEKKEN 2

INTERLACE = 0
PROGRESSIVE = OFF
VSYNC = 10
FRAMERATE = 4-5

FF7 runs pretty damn well by now, ignoring the graphical glitches mentioned. In some shop areas it runs full speed now :p , the battle scens are a lot faster now as well, I'd say about half speed, maybe slightly more. Tekken 2 has a weird bug where some polygons get stretched beyond the screen producing weird lines accross the screen.

Edit: Didn't try the other gpe for tekken, I'll do that in a minute, just checking Crash Bandicoot.

2nd Edit: Crash didn't load. Tried both gpe's. Tekken2 still produced the bug using the other gpe.

All at 250 overclock

Intelligent Qube:

Interlace 0
Progressive off
Average FPS&VSinc in game: 12

It speeds up with interlace 1 and progressive but not a lot, about 3 FPS more.

At first I thought FF7 PAL was broken again, but it's not.

Interlace 0
Progressive off

The movie is much faster playing, but still slow in FPS, about 10 average

In game out of battle it goes at about 17 FPS average

In battle about 14 FPS average

I've also noticed that it seems to be able to detect what's 2D and what isn't. Nice, the menu effects blit quite quickly and smoothly in battle, although it looks strange...

Good job. Not fully playable yet, but still very good.

Can't wait till we get the Dynamic Recompiler working. All my batteries died after I finished FF7, but good job nonetheless =)

OK 1st off, my Video capture card is giving me grief >_>

2nd up - FF7 PAL crashes on the intro when Cloud is about to jump off the train.

3rd - Are you guys using compressed images of your CDs or are you just using raw bins?

I'm using compressed files. Didn't watch the movie though, just loaded to a savepoint I had in the slums.

Let me just make a comment about ff7 pal,
I have the exact same problem with version 0.36, it crashing when he jumps off the train. Might be something about the settings

Well for all of you guys who can't get FF7 to work I'd gladly send you my save in the slums. It's pal as well. PM if you're interested...

Only downer is I've renamed Cloud to Chris, cos that's my name..duh. :unsure: :rolleyes:

RESIDENT EVIL

OC=266
INTERLACE = 0
PROGERESSIVE = OFF
VSYNC = 24
FRAMERATE = 12

Plays pretty smoothly, about half speed, maybe a wee bit more. Weird bug though in the bits that have text in them though where it put two bars of interference over the top and bottom of the screen, kind of like the black bars when playing 16:9 on a 4:3 screen.

Well, I had to make a memcard save in ePSXe and copy my memcard over. This worked for me. I'll start the testing proper and update this post with results :) All my results will be using the defaults settings and an overclock of 280MHz.

If you have any slots left, I'll give my tiny PSX library a shot. My Gp2x runs >305 MHz, and can run at 315 MHz+ for a while. I'd like to see how that goes. Right now I've got Klonoa 1 and Raiden Project handy.

Strange, I get more FPS with FF7 NTSC and 266MHz, than PAL and 280MHz.
Glad to see some games going faster, maybe even playable?! :)

I'm currently working on getting texture caching working. It's in it's early stages, but gave Buster Bros Collection (2D game) an increase from 17 FPS to 23 FPS! Waiting for Unai to come along and help with it.

mcx: Oops, you're right. I'll send the beta along to you a.s.a.p.

I wonder why FF7 PAL crashes there. Hmm, will be hard to find a fix for it.

I cant test today (I have to help my parents with stuff this weekend) but most definatly will be testing around 10 games tomorrow if not more. Sorry I couldn't do it today.

No videos yet.. come on beta testers.. o_O

At least show us some videos, those numbers arent sexy enough to our eyes. You should give us the beta, we will actually put up some video, even if we can only use webcams :eek:
