Psx Running On The Gp2x

The console featuring uncompressed or a softwaredecoder (cinepack ... brrr) was the Sega Saturn. You had to buy a MPEG-Modul to view MPEG-Videos. There were only a few Games utilizing this ... like Lunar.

Its all like "i got it running at 2fps!!, no gameplay whatsoever, but STILL!!". i seriously wouldnt buy a gp2x for this result. Its a kind of rubbish result. Because the term "RESULT" is usually known to be positive in nature, or at least in the english language it is used in a positive context, or something like that. Like people dont go "result! you got cancer!".a sick example, sorry, but similar.
The result of this so far is that the emulator doestn run anything remotely playable, or anything that people would want to play.
Dude, you just compared a low framerate to cancer. Just in case you didn't know.

But that doesn't mean that future versions won't have higher compatibily than the old FPSE

SOTN's the only PSX game I really care about working on this unit, so I certainly hope the HLE component will allow it's emulation even if the FPSE core code dosen't.

I will be moved to do somthing i've never done before, give money for an emulator. :) (I have to renege on the sister-in-law thing, international law and all that.)

I'm a bit confused by this thread !

I thought that the whole point of the GP2X being Open Source is that those who can develop work in collaboration to take the software as far as possible, each release being better than the other. Those than can't (or won't) develop test it for the developers and give feedback (good and bad) so that further improvements can be made.

Yes this process takes time but it's enjoyable and rewarding (spiritaly speaking !) for all involved. I wouldn't say that anything is totally impossible at this stage, no one realy knows how to get the best out of the system yet.

Lets wait and see how things progress.

anyone tried front mission 3 yet? even if the 3d displayed 1 fps I'd play it (of course that's if it runs at all)
